The first TRUE heavy metal record to hit number one on Billboard 200. And definitely the heaviest record to ever hit number one. The fact that an album like Far Beyond Driven actually hit number one, is mind boggling to think about. That would never happen today. Not a chance. I miss the 90s. Grateful that I was old enough to be a part of it.

Maaaaan, Swaggy, just came across your reaction to this. Album went Platinum. Brings back my high school days. Saw them twice, mosh pit insane. Got blindsided and launched into the air to crowd surf only to go over the railing, security was cool and picked me up and showed me way back to the crowd. These guys truly appreciated their fans. If you haven't already listened to the whole album, strap in and enjoy.

A couple that will ease you into it more will be “Hollow” and “Cemetery Gates” hopefully you find the version of cemetery gates with the beginning and ending as on the album. Seems like they either cut off the whole intro for the music video or leave the intro and cut off the end. I don’t want to ruin it, but the ending is badass with Phil and Dime doing work.

yes it was Dimebag doing that that's the solo for this song he wasn't really known for very long solos but most of his solos even though they were only a couple of seconds long had more notes then the most that are over 1 minute longone of the greatest guitar players who ever lived in his brother was one of the greatest drummers who ever lived and this song is a testament to that the double bass pattern in this song is so difficult on drums and most people play it wrongbecause it is very difficult

Kerry King from Slayer was once asked "What song from another band do you wish you had written instead?" And his answer was this song. And, yes, you should do more songs from this album. You can do it out of historical significance as this was one out of a very small handful of Heavy Metal albums in the 90s to make it on the Billboard top 100 to number 1. It was re-released 20 years later and I can't find the information to give an exact number because Google is being a total douche and keeps giving me the original releases information instead of the re-release (and some asshole removed it from Wikipeadia because I know it used to be there) but it was in the top 30. To call this album a Masterpiece is an understatement.

Originally it was an Ozzy/Black Sabbath song, but in my opinion, Phil did a much better version than Ozzy. Not too mention the acoustic guitars in Pantare's version are better. Again, my opinion......
