Good stuff, Trey. Here again, I'll put in a request that you make available a CD quality version of your cover songs. I would love to see that pop up in my Apple Music feed.

Magic stuff, top version Trey, done well. Sounds nice with a resy.

This isn't addressed to you but I would like to comment on the word "cover" in this context. "Cold Cold Heart" is part of the country music song book. I wouldn't call this a "cover" any more than I would call the Boston Symphony Orchestra playing Beethoven's Fifth Symphony a "cover".

@@emmgeevideo this is not addressed to you, but I would generally like to say what a pathetic thing to take time to comment about. Someone’s version of a song is always called a cover, and in this context is exactly what I would like him to produce, a compilation of all of his cover songs. What a joke. Internet is full of know-it-alls. But that is not addressed to you.

@@RamblinManMoto My objection, small as it is, is that there is a difference between Billy Bob playing a song in a bar somewhere that someone else wrote (a "cover") and a talented professional musician playing a piece of music that is part of the canon. In my experience, the word "cover" generally means "less than" or "not the real thing". By the way, I didn't insult you or anyone else with my comment. If anything I was criticizing a word, no matter who uses it. I wish the word was not used the way it often is: "You didn't write the song you're singing/playing so it's a 'cover'. I wasn't being rude and I really wasn't aiming my comment at you. Seems like you don't believe me. If my use of the KZbin comments section isn't to your liking, so be it.

@@emmgeevideo I'm scratching my head at someone apparently understanding the correct definition of the word "cover" and yet griping when someone uses the word correctly. Webster defines "cover" at least for this application as, "a recording or performance of a song previously recorded by another performer." Regardless of what one thinks of what it implies, the definition of the word "cover" stands and is appropriate just the way I used it. I guess I could have asked Trey to make a compilation of his performances of songs previously recorded by other performers including the Cold, Cold Heart Concerto in the Key of G, but using the word "cover" sure does seem to make the point rather accurately and more succinctly.

The Mule sounds good. The voice is its own instrument. Keep em coming. Great taste and the talent to get them across. KZbin was invented for this type of content.

Are you familiar with Gamble Rogers? I would hope you could get a copy of his album, "Signs of a Misspent Youth" and listen to it. Read his bio and I think you will find a new hero. FYI, You are one of mine.

Ha! Just found your “Don’t Close Your Eyes” tribute! I swear I saw “Cold Cold Heart” first, heard KW in your voice, then found your tribute! Keep covering the greats, but push forward writing and singing your own stuff. You’ve got the X factor, just keep moving forward!

I love your Jerry Lee approach to this song, to me he was the greatest country singer in the world and probably my favorite entertainer period. He was my 1st memory of music as a kid listening to his gospel records and even today he’s my all time favorite artist. I appreciate any chance I get to speak about him. Thanks for sharing this song good buddy 👍
