michael weather or not something sinks isn’t determined by size, but rather by buoyancy. To put it simply, the density of the object compared to water determines if it will or will not float in it. Ships are massive and made of metal, which on its own would sink. However, since ships are filled with air, they float.

@@irvs5922 >Goliath Who? Anyways, Shin Godzilla has 8 times a human's genetical informations, andcan evolve to adapt to many hazards in a short amount of time: in his 2nd form, when he first go on land, since he was getting crushed under his own weight, he evolved inot a fomr that managed to stand right up, with miniscule arms and a small head. In his 4th form, his still had a small head and miniscule harm, but enormous legs with stubby feet amnd a huge tail that touches the ground. To shoot his atomic breath, he also has to cool his body down afterwise. That's about as scientifically plausible as Godzilla will ever get, really.
@irvs5922
@irvs5922 5 жыл бұрын
DMB well that’s not plausible. Beings don’t just evolve to become more fit to survive. Evolution is a process of random mutations, but the beings that get harmful mutations die and the beings that have non harmful mutations or even mutations that help the being survive are the ones that survive and get to pass on their genes to the next generation and so on. A bipedal being can only get as big as 6 meters, and that is with the help of a tail, and the legs would need to be actually quite big, to make room for all the muscle needed to lift and control the huge weight. A plausible version of Godzilla would be a bipedal lizard six meters tall with some anthropomorphic features, such as hands and developed legs and arms, also quite water based, with a huge tail and many crocodile like characteristics, which should also include a very complex neck, such as our own, that would allow for the head to move completely upright, to swim better. To allow for the fire breathing it could be plausible if the creature had a gland that could synthesise a kerosene gel, that when thrown out of the mouth cavity (a snake like feature in its teeth to spit said gel) it would combust. This could be used to heat up the habitat of the being (lizards need a lot of heat, such is their way of laying on hot rocks) and also defend itself and get more nutrition out of what it eats. I hope this was of help.

Cyclops that live on islands. Sounds exactly like dwarf mammoth skulls. That went extinct just a few thousand years ago and last lived on islands. AoT titans are inherently impossible to maintain themselves due to having a metabolism insanely fast while not having a digestive system, meaning that they lack a the ability to obtain energy, all that still having to supply their muscles, circulatory and nervous system with some kind of nourishment. The manga implies that they are powered by sunlight, but for that they would to have to be more efficient than freaking plants (and their millions of years of adaptation) in using oxygen and carbon to be self sustainable.

There’s only one problem with the giants, since they have big bodies that means they’ll have a very hot body temperature, cells need energy and cells produce heat in order to work, but with game of thrones they solved that problem their giants are living in cold conditions for example *Bergmann's Rule: Animals living near colder climates are bigger in size because being heftier allows them several benefits like reducing body heat loss, Heftier animals have a smaller surface area to volume ratio, which helps reduce heat loss.* it stands to reason they might be eating something that has high calories like whales, walruses and possibly mammoths or any giant animal that can support their size and their diet. With elephants they have huge ears and a tank to reduce body heat and not get heat stroke. The giants probably would have small noses and ears to reduce their chances of getting frostbite.
@SylvanApe
@SylvanApe 2 жыл бұрын
"With elephants they have huge ears and a tank to reduce body heat and not get heat stroke" Actually the ears do very little. Elephants have evolved to be able to have a bigger increase in body temp than most mammals can cope with, they then cool off at night.
@istvanvaradi3239
@istvanvaradi3239 2 жыл бұрын
Late to answer, but cells evolved according to the size of the animal,so it wouldnt be a problem. Actually, babies will work with a slovet metabolism rate while they are in the womb, they will act like an organ, however after they are born they will speed up this process in a couple of hours.

Yeah but something about the titans in AOT are different because they weigh almost nothing we don’t know why, but hänge (the scientist in AOT) said that the titans made absolutely no sense because their body proportions shouldn’t be able to carry all that weight because some titans can even run and jump higher and faster than us humans can so she got this idea when she kicked the head of a Titan and saw that it was almost like kicking a soccer ball it didn’t weigh anything and she could just lift it up like it was nothing, there are even some people in AOT that can lift entire titans without trouble wich means that they have something about them that gets rid of all the weight wich is why they can have human proportions.

Their movements would have to be more calculating and efficient with their movement to prevent themselves overheating and would likely have a few adaptions to help them cool off for example Large ears like elephants, a long wide tongue so they could pant like a dog, darker skin to radiate heat and very thin body hair.

The titans in Attack on Titan are actually stated to be much more light than you would expect. Them having a smaller density compared to humans also explains how the are able to move so fast. And I also like how despite that, the Colossal titan still has proportions similar to what you've proposed because it's a lot bigger than regular titans. All in all great video, would recommend.

The Titans in Attack on Titan are much lighter than their size would indicate. A member of the Scout Division cut a Titan's head off and easily kicked it a good distance like a soccer ball or something. In terms of anatomy they are very off, but they are very light for their size so there's some attempt to explain it within the series.

+Heavy Weather So far, the crytids in history I know of that were either proven to be completely true or at least based in truth were: 1.) The giant ape-men called ngila/ngagi/enge-ena by African tribes (which were discovered in 1860 and called Gorillas, after a 500 B.C. account of them by Hanno the Navigator); 2.) The "African Unicorn" that was a hybrid of zebra/donkey/giraffe (the Okapi was discovered in 1901); 3.) The horned devil bird "Ulama" (which was recently discovered to be a new species of owl *TRIGGERED!!!* called spot-bellied eagle owl); 4.) The Ziphius or "Water Owl" (turned out to be a Cuvier's Beaked Whale, which happened to be mistaken for something like a basking shark with a barn owl's face); 5.) Various crytids inspired by then-undiscovered Australian creatures; 6.) Sea serpents (oarfish); 7.) Crytids like the Kraken (easily based on accounts of real cephalopods, especially the giant squid, Architeuthis)

It's hard to say exactly how a Titan's biology works, but it's definitely not normal. And the further into the series you get, the more and more it seems possible that the reasons behind the Titans is more supernatural than biological, which means that a lot of rules of nature are probably going to be thrown out the window as more and more is explained about them.

I see your point, and I love the depth that's gone into scientifically reconstructing fantasy creatures to see how they'd apply to our own reality. But as a fantasy writer, I must decline the sense of hyper realism, as most fantasy worlds' laws of physics are simply under the influence of magical properties and added forms of fantasy types of energies and matter. Thus technically in fiction, there can always be a way to fictionally explain things in a logical sense that applies to that fictional world (; But I will take note of as much realism I can to not dumbfoundedly contradict my own writings that breaks immersion. What makes fantasy epic is that the forms of power, ability, and grandeur of every situation is amplified as an expression to break from the reality we live in irl. Keep up the good work tho! Some of this stuff can be implemented in fresh creative ways. The more we learn, the better we can become.

I think it’s very possible that there were more super tall 8ft people walking around in ancient times than there are today. Since gigantism is caused by a mutation in which the body is constantly producing growth hormones, I think this mutation may have occurred more often because in those days, people were less likely to leave their designated community which means inbreeding was way more common, this would make mutations like gigantism occur more often.

The child would probably have either condition or be born normally since, mainly, genes don't mix into new forms. Normally, either a gene is active or it's dormant. Like for example if someone with dark hair and someone with light hair have a kid, then they'll have either dark or light hair. So it would all depend on chance, whether or not either person holds a normal-size gene, and if dwarfism and gigantism is dominant or recessive. If you know the answer to those questions, then you can form a Punnett Square and calculate out how likely the child would be for each possibility.

This mutation seemed to happen in prevalence in ancient native americans. They were found under burial mounds and were between 7-9ft tall. It's a very interesting topic. Especially mysterious because most of them were destroyed or reburied.

Quick correction: the Book of Giants was not part of the canon "as much as Genesis or Exodus." That's just nonsense. The Book of Giants was popular among Manichaeans (not Jews or Christians), and copies were also found in the Jewish community of Qumran, but it was never considered scripture by most Jews or Christians. You might be confusing it with the book of Enoch, which also expands the Genesis story of antediluvian giants and was considered scripture by some Christian groups, as it still is by the Ethiopian Church--though again, this was a product of the Hellenistic age and was never placed alongside the Jewish Torah, which held unquestioned and universal authority.
@kenlittlechild221
@kenlittlechild221 6 жыл бұрын
Unquestioned and universal authority resides now in Jesus Christ, but the Jews are blinded until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. For unbelief they were broken off like branches, but they will be grafted in again, When our Heavenly Father shall pour upon the House of David the Spirit of Grace and supplications. And then they will see him who they have pierced and they shall mourn like one mourns for his only son. Jesus fulfilled the Torah for us because we can't. But now there is no more offering for sin the only way to be saved from the Lake of Fire now is belief and faith in Jesus Christ. Genesis six tells of Angels who found women to be beautiful and lusted after them. Making wives of them and their offspring grew to be Giants. Six digits on hands and feet, two rows of teeth. Goliath, whom King David had killed with a sling and a stone when he was only a boy was a great Giant, and King Og of Bash-an had a iron bed 14 feet long is another mention of them. A team of USA soldiers in Kandahar were killed and eaten by A giant but the second squad that went to look for them killed it by concentrating firepower to his face. His speed and strength were so unbelievable as he covered a great distance between them and one handed stabbed a giant spear through the chest of the lead soldier and lifted him one handed high into the air. he was very stinky, six digits two rows of teeth weighed about 1500 lbs. These creatures are real but they are targeted by by secret societies and disappeared by the Smithsonian institute because they are a proof of God which Satan has been trying to hide for his "great deception". So Satan needs everybody to believe in evolution and the big bang, with a very, very, ancient globe Earth that spins and revolves around the sun, in a large inhabited universe that populates and evolves aliens all by itself with no creator. If he can get the world to believe in this, then he wins and all human believers in Satan will join him in the lake of fire screaming as loud as they possibly can for all eternity. It hurts just as bad in the 1,000 year as it did on the first day when they were thrown in. Hopefully anybody who reads this, will ask enough questions, to find out how they can be saved from this horrible fate.

The Roman Catholic church took certain books out of the Bible as a way to hide the truth and control the masses. Just like they're hiding so much under the Vatican the religion is full of pedophiles and child molesters and freaks! I'd never bow and kiss some old man on the hand! Ok go in a booth and confess my sins to some dude in a box lol that's just nuts!. Were to confess our sins and repent to Jesus Christ not a "Grown man hiding in a box!" Clearly for weak people the Catholic religion is satan's tool and so many are going to hell because they refuse to read the bible (KJV) and do they're research.

A theoretical evolution of giants:a branch of humans that were closely related to cave men but rather than evolving to be shorter and more stocky to catch there large ice age meals they grew larger increasing there bone muscle and organ size as well as a few more features they have a simplistic life only living in small villages herding large animals or hunting them and often travel they have their own langue and can speak human languages but have a hard time doing so do to there smaller brain size hindering learning abilities they often moved from land to land and were commonly used in ancient war fare as heavy units they were also well known to interbreed with humans creating children that were tall but not as tall as giants as well as having some of the muscle however humans started to fear them do to their power so they either killed or pushed back to the wilds today the giant population is very small but they can be found in regions with large wild life and with dense forests or large planes. (PS sorry for the wall of text this was my own spin on how they would be if they lived in real life some what based if the giants from Skyrim)

I don't see why brain size would be that big of a deal. Also even if its proportionally small, and possibly human sized, it wouldn't necessarily mean reduced intelligence.
@howardlanus8610
@howardlanus8610 6 жыл бұрын
Intelligence is usually linked to brain: body ratio. Pigs and panthers are about the same mass as humans but we have very different sized brains. If a giant was proportioned like this but had a brain the same size as ours, their brain would be proportionately smaller than ours.

Not sure idiots would be the proper term. They'd be smart enough to survive given their attributes, which, sad to say, is more than can be said for a number of our species. Homo sapiens indeed.

@borggus3009
@borggus3009 6 жыл бұрын
Brain size doesn't necessarily mean intelligence since human brains have gotten smaller with our bodies getting bigger even though we got smarter(plus whales). But the bigger you are, the more neurons you're brain has to control leaving less of your brain to do complex thinking. If they managed to evolve certain neural traits that's never been observed in our universe (like what humans did), they might maintain intelligence with a lower brain to body ratio.
@howardlanus8610
@howardlanus8610 6 жыл бұрын
Brain size alone doesn't tell you much yes. It is the ratio between brain and body. Humans and pigs are about the same mass but our brains are significantly bigger than a pig's brain. If giants increased their brain size at a slower rate than their bodies, then they'd have a smaller brain proportionate to their body size, meaning fewer neurons for areas other than motor control, sensory information, and memory. Overall, giants would have less intelligence than Homo sapiens but then again would they really need it? If a giant was running towards you and you didn't have a rocket-propelled grenade, cannon, ballista, or pike how would you survive other than fleeing for your life?

So I keep wondering. Two things. What if giants had two hearts? Would there body be more stable then? And the other thing. There was a time back then when a lot of Megafauna roamed the earth. Could humans under those conditions maybe reach a height like that? If animals were bigger then and it was no problem, shouldnt it be possible for humans as well?

Titans are human bodies at their peak, full potential of human body unlocked when that chemical was injected to humans neck. They are probably pretty heavy but once they are killed the body starts to gain back normal weight until there's only human bones left i think?

Brain size would not need to shrink, A full sized human brain with all its capacity wouldn't weight anything to a giant, So their head would look small on them but be a full normal person size and therefore just as inelegant.
