I remember Tim had a pain-in-the-ass time with it only to find it wasn't the right version of the minigame because there are two in the forest, so he had to go through even more crap. XD

Might be an uncommon opinion, but this was my favourite segment of the event, and one I'm so glad I caught live. Like Masae, I'd never seen a Crowd Control before. Everyone's reactions made the perfect comedy group: Jon's game is constantly glitching (as usual), Jerrod spends most of his time screaming or repeating his catchphrase "I'm a balloon!", Masae is getting crapped on by bad luck and Tim stays calm no matter what chaos is thrown his way.

Poor Masae learned a hard lesson about the chaos of Crowd Control on her first go at it. 😆 And I love how her, Jon, and Jared were dealing with pandemonium on a mass scale in a constant state of panic. While good ol Tim was being absolutely chill and rolling with the madness like it was nothing. Such a great segment I’d love to see return in the next Colosseum, maybe with either a new game or someone else to join the chaos.

I hope to see a bunch of "I'M A BALLOOOON!!"s in the comments here :) This reminded me of the legendary Battletoads Race, with Jerod taking SuperJeenius's place as the one getting crapped on for the entire race (which is pretty funny, since Jake had by far the dirtiest mouth in that race while Jerod was by far the most wholesome in this one), Masae having Patty's role of fighting for the lead while all kinds of insanity happens (and going crazy in the process), Jon playing well as usual but having some tech issues and just some bad luck, and Tim being a calm breeze in contrast to everyone's screaming XD

Jerod is like the master of being loud and clearly upset without being actually mad For some context, I am a person who really cannot hear angry yelling without getting legit scared or uncomfortable (it's complicated) even if it's in a video, and Jerod is able to be loud and upset/disappointed but not *angry* (or at least he doesn't sound like he is) Idk I guess I'm trying to say that I appreciate it?? They would have had to record their video, not their audio. Their audio syncs up with each other, including NCS. It's their gameplay that does not sync up with their mic audio.

i understand there is a delay on everyone but NCS but did u explain why there was a delay? could u also not synced up the videos for the KZbin audience? because hearing something happening and then seeing it happen like 10 seconds later is really hard for me to watch anyone other than NCS because of it and in split game videos like this i like to keep an eye on what everyone is doing.

The reason why there was a delay was because Tim was playing the game locally whereas Masae, Jon, and Jerod were streaming their footage to MC which, in turn, was all streamed to us, and they were all in a Discord voice call for commentary. Because one person didn’t have to stream, it introduced delay for the other three (a good quality stream takes longer to arrive versus audio from a voice call). Now, MC did compromise partway through the run by delaying the voice call to match Masae, Jon, and Jerod, but that in turn threw Tim’s footage off. As to why this wasn’t fixed for the KZbin upload, I don’t know. It would have been possible to “fix” it, and it really would’ve been a nice mindful edit, but it just seems like it wasn’t worth the effort.

So.. I think next time they do this event and have a race, they need to have a better solution going for the sync issue. whether that involves a software solution (like a separate instance of OBS to induce a delay on one of the sources to sync with the others), or some sort of hardware solution (capture cards, same room). eitherway, that.. needs to be done. it makes it hard to watch having the audio out of sync with three of the sources. I wasn't able to get through the Sunshine race, and that was one I was excited for when I saw it, what with being a old Versus fan.
