TRG Compilations - Mario Party Dumb A.I. Montage

And here it is, the last compilation for 2021, an idea that I've had for a long time. I present to you a compilation filled with many dumb moments by the A.I (on hard btw) in various TRG Mario Party LPs. These moments can range from bring somewhat questionable, a result of dumb luck, being dickish for the hell of it, or just making absolutely no sense whatsoever. Enjoy!

Honestly it's kind of a blessing in disguise they didn't have a fourth player to begin with and just stuck with the AI tradition, these wild card moments consistently elevate the mayhem to absurd degrees.

Believe it or not it’s actually beneficial to stay still when playing Beam Team against an AI because they really don’t know what to do when you’re not moving around. Actually that’s the case for a few minigames. It’s also why Blooper was aiming for Emile and not Tim.

Interesting case of seemingly intentional AI stupidity. My sis and I played 7 with Brutal CPUs recently, and they seem to _intentionally_ attack their partners on Tile and Error. I dunno if the AI is designed to think we're in the way or something, but our partners would seek us out when no one was nearby and knock us away.

I’ve actually had some very stupid AI moments in Mario Party. In Mario Party 6, on the board Towering Treetops, Koopa Kid was in front of the Star with 51 Coins but he used a Warp Pipe and swapped places with me. Next in Mario Party 1 on the board Luigi’s Engine Room, Yoshi was near the first Star and had to go left to get the first Star. Yoshi went right instead. Koopa Kid was on Hard AI while Yoshi was on Easy AI. Another thing that happened that involved Yoshi was him getting 12 Points on the Bob-omb in the Minigame Crazy Cutter. And he just cut a straight line. Edit: Mario went from having Dragonite Coins, then to having Azurill Coins and then to having Galvantula Coins.

Regarding Faire Square in 6, even Brutal difficulty AI will leave the circle in very suboptimal ways repeatedly. That board just doesn’t have functioning AI outside of fringe luck.
