Tri-Rail Commuter Trains!

Florida's Tri-Rail is a commuter train service that runs between Miami and West Palm Beach. In this video, we will see many different Tri-Rail commuter trains as they run along the rail corridor. Every type of car and locomotive currently used by Tri-Rail is included in the video. All aboard for a fun trip to sunny South Florida!

Tri-Rail *IS* the perfect railroad. Those horns say it all. I was down in South Florida just last month, and all that played on my mind was just "Tri-Rail" on a broken record, and I filmed every train I could (although it didn't come out like this because I uploaded the clips individually and was tripodless), but it looks like neither of us ever managed to catch GP49H-3 #817 and it's amazing bell in action, but don't worry, it'll be there for me when I come back there next year, along with the rebuilt F40PHs! Also, adding the Tri-Rail horn to your intro screen was a brilliant idea, and you should keep it!

You were in my neck of the woods when u filmed in Hialeah, when the F40s come back, search up Iris and you'll see atleast 20 trains. But that spot sees 45 no doubt.

I see a mix of trains hauled by single EMD/Mid-America GP49H-3 locomotives, trains hauled by single Brookville BL36PH locomotives, and trains hauled by dual Brookville BL36PH locomotives, even though the latter still have only 3 or 4 coaches, and sometimes even include a cab car (even if it is a Hyundai-Rotem cab car with the cab end shaped to be really on the end). I did not see any of the Colorado Railcar DMUs that the Wikipedia articles says that they have; this article also reports that all of their F40PH-2C and F40PH locomotives are out for rebuild at Progress Rail, but should be back later this year.

The Rotems failed an inspection and were prohibited from leading for about a 3 month period, during which all this footage was shot. You may know of a time when Metrolink had to lease BNSF AC4400CWs to block their Rotem Cabs after the Oxnard Crash. This was basically that.
