Hey Uncle Joe, sorry you missed hiking up to Pinnacle. The trail going up there was just on over the gap on the right. You could’ve thrown a rock to it from the gap. Unfortunately it is not on AllTrails. However it is on the park trail map as well as iPhone maps, oddly enough. I hiked Tri Peak and also to the Pinnacle from the city of Cumberland Gap. Parked at the Iron Furnace parking lot. I was there on Nov 15-16th. Not long after you were. I live in northeast Georgia, near Tallulah Falls.

Figures it was right there! smh I did see some trail down to my right as I drove up to the Pinnacle the next day too. I know there's a trail from the visitor's center too. Oh well. I'd like to come back and hike it from the ridge side someday.

Another lovely episode man! This whole trail looks so enjoyable. That cave can be a problem in winter when snow covers the path, I think falling into it could be life-threatening!

I've done the Lewis Hollow loop a couple of times and it goes up across the ridge and comes down by the Pinnacle and on down through the gap. Nice hike Joe!

Yeah I should have done a longer hike up to that ridge and came into the Pinnacle from that side. Still had a good hike.
