The skeletons holding tipped arrows of poison reminded me of the Mossy Skeleton in Dungeons. I noticed also that Strays exist within the structure too, and we all know the only difference between them and normal skeletons is the arrow type fired. Perhaps, the poison skellys are maybe a placeholder for a proper new mob?

I think it makes a lot more sense for them to create a new item that you can use, like a copper chest, which differs from normal chests in that it can be locked and unlocked. Or maybe they'll add locking functionality to copper doors, would make a lot of sense

@@samirpernell2136 well i meant that it makes no sense to have something only for the trial dungeon and that it would likely be a locked chest, which could be crafted for usage in a base or spawned in trial dungeon with a lot of good drops/rewards but you need to find it elsewhere hidden in the chamber. Basically im suggesting keys and copper chests could be crafted on their own and they would just be used in the trial chambers but still useful/craftable on their own.

I like the fact that they want it to be a mid game challenge. From mid-game, I understand it to be something that would come before the Dragon, the loot also suggests that. In my opinion, it solves 2 problems- 1. Makes mid game XP grind a lot more interesting. 2. Prepares the player for the Dragon fight. Right now, the player gets directly thrown into the Dragon fight, a challenge unlike anything the player had faced before.

@@LucBlocker I think we already have that sort of progression and biome linking(?) via the blaze rod requirement to get to the end. Not to mention just having the item you need to get to the end being randomly spit out by one of the spawners would either be really grindy or really easy. I think it would be a lot cooler if you needed a certain number of trial keys to unlock a room made of hard to break blocks that contains some sort of final grand trial that gives you a key for the ancient city portal!

I’m hoping they add a variant of the Breeze that can only happen when it gets struck by lightning, maybe the ‘Tempest’? Imagine a bigger and more menacing version with a visual effect like a charged creeper and projectiles that have the ability to alter other mobs like they would be if struck by lightning along with the knockback effect

The trial chambers are a great addition, and they opened a door for something i wanted in minecraft for a long time now, the minecraft dungeons mob variants Like the frozen zombie who throws snowballs to make you slow, the sunken skeleton, who shoots harpoons and the jungle zombies and skeletons with poisonous attacks (they already added the skeletons with poison arrows, all that is needed is for them to have a different texture)

I think the key may open the stone chests that were scrapped for the Ancient City, I think they might make it to the trial chambers instead. I think stone chests in the trial chambers may contain the thing needed to activate the portal. The design for the stone chest seemed too polished to not have made it in the Wild update, unless they were saved for something bigger, which is now the trial chambers. Or maybe the breeze has something to do with the portal in the Acient City, kind of like how you have to craft eyes of ender with blaze rods (blaze powder to be precise) to find and open the End Portal... Breeze... Blaze... Coincidence... I think not!!!

I absolutely love the new trial chambers. I went in with full enchanted netherite and it was surprisingly difficult, I kept getting tones of baby zombies spawning and swarming me, and the Breeze is actually quite difficult, I like how they spawned only one at a time for me, so they didn't become too annoying. The loot was great! I got an enchanted golden apple upon opening the first chest.

The chambers are so cool! The combat is really diverse and interesting. The traps are super fun, and all the loot gives you really fun combat abitilies that you woldn't usually have with you (throwing poisons at enemies, throwing enderpearls, poison arrows, even found a god apple!) I went in naked with just a bunch of food and an iron sword and came out with more enchanted armor than I could carry

Trial key, might open doors in the dungeon. Generated copper doors could be locked, the texture for the copper door has a lock on it. It could also be a glimpse at player locked doors maybe. Probably not but you never know

My theory for the key is since it’s called the TRIAL key there are gonna be other keys in other structures like a jungle temple key etc. and I think you are going to need to use all the keys from different structures to unlock the portal in the ancient city. :D

my guess: The trial key will be used to "unlock" the trial spawner for players to somehow create their own, particular spawner. It's in line with the concept of the auto-crafter. It doesn't remove any functionality, just allows for easier customization.

What i loved about your videos was the slow paced commentary, your calming voice, how personal your connection to the viewer was, andgenerally your demeanor. You know what would make these so much more interesting, if when you got close to a trial chamber you got given a potion effect similar to underwater temples that disabled natural health regeneration. That way you would have to go into the trial chambers with health potions and golden apples and whatnot. It would make them much more challenging and fun to deal with.

Ideas for the trial chamber: •Instead of just normal skeletons with poison tipped arrows, just make a new mob thats a variant of skeletons that shoots poison arrows! •Make copper doors just like iron doors (where they need redstone) for the first 2 phases, and then when it weathers more for the last 2, its a normal door! •The trial key opens the stone chests that were scrapped from 1.17!!!

Trial key theory: you can only activate the spawners with the trial key in future snapshots, and the way you get the first key is by exploring some abandoned structure.

I bet the keys will be used for some kind of special chest, perhaps one with respawning loot on a similar timer as the trial spawners.
