Hi Alan , looks better with the liquid paper added . Potentiometer sounds an interesting way , maybe worth a try . ........Peter

Hi Peter. Simple resistor would be easier, but variable might be useful. Your latest video gave a good idea of the brightness I should adjust to (pretty sure you ran a class 37 - I also have the earlier demo you made) My tunnel video is poor, but the liquid paper did help - think I should get a Blue Peter badge. Alan.

Hi Fred. I've a lot of respect for Lima things and was surprised this kit was available for analogue. (Even more surprised how bright the LED looks on KZbin, like a police helicopter spotlight :) ). Hope Wilbury Castle has got air conditioning :) Thanks again, Alan.

Folklore has it a Mr. Thumper swapped a castle's 1000W searchlights for 40W bulbs, and made a daring getaway. Prison warders were left in the dark.

Hi Alan, a 1K potentiometer would be perfect.

Thanks Simon - that's very useful. Alan.

Very nice, may be a little too bright, could you add a larger resistor to see if you get better results. Sometimes the camera makes things look brighter than they are...Simon

Good point Simon, because the problem is exaggerated on KZbin when lower light conditions. I was thinking in inserting a potentiometer, adjusting to suit, but never used one before. Alan..

Certainly will see that coming down the tracks , should be good in a tunnel using the mobius to capture the light as you showed , the brighter the better ... see and be seen as they say .. surprised the mobius could not handle the brightness though .. Dave

Hi Dave. Think an oncoming driver will need sunglasses, which is actually the problem. Other alternatives to dimming the LED slightly might be a be a resistor, or adjustable resistor (potentiometer?), or even a concealed piece of paper (Blue Peter). Also, I may get one of those wireless mini cameras you did a video on, to monitor it live. Still too hot to be in loft for any longer than 20 minutes, even with a fan on. Alan.

itloon that will be the foxeer camera , maybe a resistor will do the trick ? ...
