If my memory serves me well East Midland rider Ian Margetts rode in this round. He was an excellent rider but I'm sure he told me he never completed one section. As I say if my memory serves me well

when trials riders started doing this stopping and balancing in my opinion they had ceased foreward motion we had endless debates about it, however its very much the norm these days, i am an old school rider and loved the fact that you had to read the section and try and ride it best you can, sure times have changed and the machines are much more sophisticated than what I rode in fact the sport was known as watching paint dry and this balancing and reversing up holds to that comment.

Very contentious. The continental at the time didn't mind stopping with a boot down for an extended time. A big fat FIVE in my opinion. However,as the skill set changed,a different approach was needed, balance while you pick ot what you are going to do next. Roll back if necessary, but no don't stop with your boot down.
