Nahviintaas can be broken down into a "grounded" phase and several "flying" phases. He will fly at 80, 60, and 40 percent health remaining. There is also a portal phase that starts at 90, 70, and 50 percent health. Execute phase starts at 33 percent health remaining.

Yes, you should designate someone to stand in that. All it is is a time stop, where the person who stands in it will be frozen and needs to break free. If you have someone stand in that AoE it sends a buff to the portal group downstairs.

It's a Time Stop. If someone is in it when it completes, you are stunned and take damage, but it also sends a buff downstairs for the portal group to pick up, which gives about 5k Weapon and Spell Damage plus restores about 25 percent resources.

On the add phase at 60% and 80% I am struggling with tanking. Our group dps doesnt burn them quite as fast as yours and I keep getting my block knocked off (I think by the furys). This results in the will and others killing me. Is there a way to help defend against the block being knocked off or survive it when it does?

You can dodge roll through their attacks if needed, but it's easier to just layer ground HoTs on you and get DPS to be higher for a faster burn.
