Thank you so much for sharing this, Dave. Our sons were removed from their birth mom’s home when they were younger because she was overwhelmed as a single mother with so many kids and her own mental health and generational trauma/socio-economic struggles. We adopted our boys after they’d been in foster care for 4.5 years and they’ve been with us for 4.5 years now. It’s encouraging to hear your story about how you’ve moved forward and taken those next steps to find forgiveness for your mom and how your faith and your relationship with your wife is such a rock for you. It’s inspiring for me as I raise boys who have struggled even as such young ones and it’s great to have examples to look up to of overcoming such difficult early childhood adversity. Thank you, Dave. ❤️🙏👍

That's the reason why I do this. Because I want to help people who have gone through the same things as I did, but also for you so you can see that they can turn out to be stronger and better people through the rough life they had. I want to thank you for becoming Foster Parents it not easy because we bring so much baggage us. God bless you!!!

You are an amazing guy Dave- thank you for sharing ♡ I went through a similar situation (grew up around drugs, absent parents, shuffled around, foster care) and I feel the same way you do- though it was tough, I know that I can use my experiences to help others. I thought I was the only one who grew up with these issues. Hope to be where you’re at one day. How did you get to the point in your life where you started being happy again?
@david_to_goliath95756 жыл бұрын
artieonthehorse it was my faith and I finally forgave my mom and other people in my life and that made a huge difference because I didn’t have to carry that anger anymore.
