I still feel like this deck is easily countered by dark magician, flood gate, and karma cut. Which wouldn’t be that bad, if it wasn’t for all three of those things being widely used.

Rick Kcir yeah played like 30 battles (22 card version) and it struggles against cards that banish and floodgate, it also struggles with dark magician and cards that negate effects. With dm however u can beat it, it’s not a 100% guarantee loss, using pulse to destroy circle.

You can reduce the damage of karma cut with pulse by destroying the targeted monster beforehand. If you have Sphinx, you can even replace your monster with him. Floodgate could also be countered in a similar way but at least if you get master, you can clear it off.

I used blackwings to obliterate this deck. Triamids are good but not good enough to compete with current meta

Dark Magician triamids can compete with blackwings if they don’t have their negate, since negates can easily screw over triamids. Rakerai (can’t remember how to spell, the one that can destroy cards) can be countered with Fortress, and since decks only run 1 of them u don’t have to worry about them too often since u can keep on cycling fortresses, but if they have their negate it can be an easy win for blackbirds.

The only drawback is that now that it is going to become popular again, people will know what the cards do and how to counter them. Before, people would try to destroy monsters with fortress on the field or attack without realizing you can switch to kingolem or not realizing that slash dragon is worthless when kingolem is on the field.

Today i got King of games with the triamids deck, 2 sphinx are absolutely necessary in my opinion and experience, why? Because the deck is all about your boss monster and one well placed trap card like a karma cut and you are finished if you only have one sphinx.

I play a 22 card deck an i always get 2 monster, 1 spell and 1 trap, and I have it like this 2 sphinix 2 masters 3 hunters 2 dancers 3 cruiser 3 kingolem 1 fortress 3 canadia 2 tth And finally 1 continuos trap

I think 2 sphinx is better as ive faced alot of karmacuts and i almost never open with it. Also one or 2 fortress works for me as i dont want to open with it.

evdp91 u don’t need Sphinx to win, sure it’s triamids boss monster but u can win without Sphinx, destroying cards with master and pulse, using kingolem so they can’t activate any effects when battling and using dancer to increase your monsters stats.

Well the obvious ones are the XYZ archetypess already in the game like Evo- cards or Inzektors or heroic challengers

Almost every Deck will become better with xyz because most of the xyz Monsters are generic as Hell. I also think that we won't get any good xyz at the start except for Utopia. If we get new Slots in the Extra Deck (we will at least get 1) and D/D/D get their xyz's they will get much stronger for sure.

I love the channel and I'm not trying to be a hater bc I don't hate you at all, you've actually helped me with duel links and Yu-Gi-Oh in general tremendously, but I kind of get very annoyed when I'm playing on ranked and literally half of all duels I play, my opponent has an exact deck you had on your channel. I mean it's not your fault, I just wish people could do things themselves sometimes and not just copy everything bc it's good.

Coming up with a competitive deck takes a lot of time investment and there's no guarantee it will be all that good unless you really know what you're doing. Sure, you can try using the posted decklists, but those don't tell you the optimal way to play them. People like DLM make the game far more accessible to people. Sure, a lot of decks you see will just be copies of these but without accessible information like this, the game would be nowhere near as popular as it is. Also, you can see what up and coming decks are so you can beat them easily.
