A true mixed battle could work. Just put a capture point or two in the water so the ships have something more to do than bombard tanks. Make coastal capture zones that have naval guns to combat ships while still having some inland out of range of naval vessels. Aircraft remain unchanged and just hit what they can if they manage to get past the ship gunner ai and SPAAs

I remember playing an old PC game back in the early 2000s called Aces High where ground, naval, and air were all on the same map together and could interact with each other. The maps were massive though. It took me over an hour to fly from one end to the other in a B-17, and I had to shut off two engines to conserve enough fuel to make the trip. I think something like that would be amazing for a world war mode in War Thunder rather than the current format, but I imagine it would also need some massive server support.

A good map would probably be the Denmark straight. You could even do an alternate history of the battle of dunkirk where one team is trying to defend the beaches and attack back into France and the other is trying to push them back out to sea.

Naval and tanks could be like a beach landing scenario. Ships need to defend themselves while trying to destroy shore artillery or bases, tanks operate as normal.

@@dezydereusz No, because that's just HE and I paid for better HE, and a bunch of shitty systems in an honestly worsening mediocre game. Since War Thunder goes the more realistic route, there's many more options. Two basic examples using different ammo types being the ability to fire smoke rounds to cover allies advances, and STAR shells on night maps to illuminate the area. That's just the bare basics though. I could go on, but we'd be here all week.

I know its maybe not realistic, but maybe it could be an option for Naval AB, that vessels have an anchor skill. So a ship can drop an anchor and can stop then way faster. Like sometimes it takes sooo long, until you can reverse the direction, especially when you want to capture point or wanna dodge Torpedos this is a thing. I know that in real life it wouldnt work like this, but I guess it would be a fun addition like as a 1 time usage skill

That Junkers crew probably THOUGHT they got hit right before the engine caught fire, i can see a mechanical failure happening causing a jolt of vibration that might seem similar to cannon fire, also Gibson was probably sleep deprived and didn’t see the other AC or it’s tracers

I honestly believe it was some mechanical faliure, the germans did say they got a little damage in the previous engagement, that was probably enough to have things and screws losen up, then 20 minutes of vibration chucks them off completely.

Question, why is the me 264 in the game when the mark1 model of the plane was the only one to be completely built and he did not have armor nor defense of guns, which the one in the game is the m3 that wasn’t complete why isnt the Me 262 HG-II in the game it was the Second "High Speed" variant, more heavily modified A-1a with "racing" style cockpit and wings swept at 35-degree angle and engine nacelles were moved closer to fuselage.

Two questions: 1. Are there any plans to improve realism with mud and dirt? For example, tracked vehicles throwing track when trying to pivot or neutral steer in loose dirt or mud? 2. thinking about last comment 14:12 and the following topic of "ship vs tanks" like its pretty unfair, but the concept of combined arms operation in a single game can be done One such suitable map are the ones found in the pacific theatre, take guadalcanal (former jungle map for tanks) or Port Moresby taking a look in the air map of these versions, it could be suited for tank combat as well and my idea goes by, it would be similar to naval EC matches Ships instead of figthing over taking an enemy port, they would fight for actual naval supremacy. Air units would prove their reliability by having the option of providing CAS for tanks or striking ships to help this naval supremacy The mode would count with a player count of 32v32 just like in custom battles that would go 15 players could be located in tanks and would have multiple objectives. Start in point A, drive to this point in dispute, once you capture it, to the next one, and the losing team would have to retreat and defend and so on. These points would have bots for the loosing team while the neutral point, cental, would just have minor decorations while that tank battle is going on, planes are scrambled in an attempt to stop the advance of tanks, 10 planes could be the limit size since. They can strike ships, tanks and other planes their objectives is merely for support and to gain air superiority zones as for ships, the 7 ships remaing could fill that spot, DDs and other minor boats types could be deployed in quantity, while more heavier ships are limited. 1 battleship could be deployed at a time for example and they would fight over the naval control and could have the hability to provide naval bombardment support for tanks. But as said, at this point the match would be one sided, there are many flaws with what i said, but in my head it looks possible
