I love how they thoroughly examine everything before trying. They stretch the marshmallow, make flowers out of them, smell them, sit and stare at them, say their name over and over. They are like toddlers playing with their food, still at the basic learning phase. It's very endearing! I wish we all could be this way.

Dandies is a safe brand of marshmallows for Hindus, Muslims Jews, Vegetarians/Vegans. Some brands use beef or pork gelatin.

I am allergic to eggs and recently found out there are eggs in marshmallows except for Kraft. How is it possible to change the recipe? Marshmallows are so weird I would assume there could be only one way to make it.

However, they tend to be a lot more expensive than regular marshmallows, so if you really want them you can buy them, but if you are randomly offered a marshmallow, or marshmallow product, it is safest to assume that it does contain gelatine, and thus a pork product.

When I was a child, I had a horrible allergy to everything artificial, so my mother made a tray of fresh baked, homemade marshmallows. They are waaay better. Idk if she used actual mallows, though. I've seen a lot of these videos now. The thing that gets to me and that I love is how polite and humble these people are. Watch americans and europeans taste new foods, drinks and candies and see how rude, arrogant and degrading to other countries/cultures eating and drinking they are. It would be interesting to see what would happen if they brought three or four of them to the US and did tastings of their foods here with middle American average Joes. I'm always surprised at how reluctant they are to try things (maybe it's a politeness/cultural thing -- waiting to be given permission to eat?), how fearful they are that these foods may cause them harm, and how few questions they have about ingredients, how things are made, etc. It's also surprising that the hosts don't provide more background about the items being tasted (perhaps they do so off-camera), explaining a bit about context (e.g. Marshmallow is basically candy or a sweet treat, made from egg whites, gelatin, and sugar). Also, I'm curious about how fresh are the items they taste, the serving temperatures, etc. This series provides a wonderful cultural learning experience for everyone.

Love how Mr. Tahir made a flower with them. Cute. Yes, they are sticky and very sweet. They are mostly just sugar and gelatin and it wouldn't be good to eat too many, but they are a fun treat once in a while. My two favorite ways to have marshmallows are: 1, as a topping for a cup of hot cocoa on a cold day (especially to warm up after playing outside in the snow), and let them dissolve into a light, sweet foam. Or, 2, on a stick or skewer, lightly toasted to a golden brown over a fire. Then you can eat them as is, or put them into a s'more. That's the best camping treat!

If you're Hindu, (which your name implies). Some marshmallows have beef gelatin, there are brands without them. Also Jet Puffed has pork based gelatin, so if anyone is Muslim look for another brand if you're religious.

I don’t understand why the foods aren’t properly introduced to the nice people here. Roasted marshmallows over a fire is what makes them great. Also, I really dislike the bluegrass banjo music. It would be a nice cultural experience to hear music from these countries while they try foods.

You are all KZbin stars! We love you and love this channel! Brilliant concept...brilliant. I have a suggestion. You should also have another channel where it's just kids trying out the new foods. The reactions from kids will be totally different...less analytical, less serious. The adults worry too much about the health risks of what they're eating...which is smart...don't get me wrong...but this is just about tasting...not about incorporating these foods into their daily diet. The kids responses would probably be more spontaneous and fun. Just a suggestion. Keep up the good work. This is spectacular. I love how you film it. Just brilliant.

Marshmallow root was originally used in the making of this confection. Marshmallow (Althea officinalis) is a useful medicinal herb that is closely related to hibiscus, and is in the Malvaceae (mallow) family. Other plants in this family include cotton, okra, cacao, hollyhock and durian. :)
