I just made a lasagna for my parents. Homemade sauce (tomato sauce, puree, paste, parsley) with sauteed mushrooms, onion, garlic, ground beef and ground mild Italian sausage, oregano, thyme, rosemary, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes. White layer; ricotta/cottage cheese/parmesan/Romano cheese, and then the noodles. Four layers. Topped with motz and Monterey jack. I know, I know, cottage cheese, but it's a Midwestern thing.

Lasagna originated in Sicily many many years ago and was considered peasant food for the poor. It's funny because pizza was too..now it's some of the most loved foods in the world. My old world Sicilian grandma used to make this dish and I loved it..the sauce takes 2 days to make and a kilo of 5 different cheeses are used. It will easily serve 10 people when served with a salad and garlic bread. The true way to make it is with pork and beef which I know Muslims don't eat pork. I use my grandma's recipe when I make lasagna. Also always serve extra sauce on the side when preparing pasta. Salute

In the United States, lasagna recipes usually include lean ground beef and/or ground pork between each pasta layer. A traditional lasagna uses both béchamel sauce (a creamy white sauce) and tomato or marinara sauce. For me, the more cheese the better, so I include mozzarella, ricotta, and parmesan.

Instead of using a spoon to cut food, how about showing them, actually showing them how to use a knife to cut the food, and at the minimum, how to use the side of the fork to cut food. Those two methods are so much easier than using a spoon to 'cut' food. Spoons are for scooping. Knives are for cutting, and forks are for stabbing food (gently). And as I mentioned, using the side of a fork to cut is easier than a spoon. Make life a little easier for them.

This is an older show thats been reposted as the guy with the turban doesn't wear them anymore that I know of. They know how to use forks now, but not how to cut with a fork or how to keep the knife in which hand...they are working on it.

Where's the garlic bread to be eaten with the beef lasagna? And the milk tea to help wash the food down.

Why are you yelling? With that exclamation?! Lasagne isn’t an American dish. The world doesn’t revolve around Us. I am so sick of that self righteous ‘murican BS. And I am American.

Lasagna can be made with various combinations of ricotta or mozzarella, tomato sauce, meats (such as ground beef, pork, veal or chicken), and vegetables (such as spinach, zucchini, olives, and mushrooms), and the dish is typically flavoured with wine, garlic, onion, and oregano. Many varieties are found throughout Italy.

@@FredPilcherbeef lasagna usually has tomato purée, tomato paste, tomato sauce, or some combination of. Other meats can be used in lasagna. I actually found a white cheese chicken lasagna recipe that I might try.

Lasagne alla Carnivale (served a Mardi Gras) Is a version with layers of cheese sauce and meat (groung beef) sauce, with spinach. You can make it vegetarian as well and leave out the meat. Given your budget, this looks like frozen store bought chicken lasagne, which has very little spices.

Lasagne was the first Italian dish I learned to make...and it was the dish that began my love affair with Italian cuisine that continues to this day...althogh i will say that i would not use chicken in mine as it's not traditional. I would use a meat ragu sauce instead.
@jaelynn757519 күн бұрын
Looks a lot more like a chicken mac n cheese. They need to try an actual lasagna. You can make it vegetarian if need be, but ground beef works too.

Why is there chicken in that lasagna? I’ve never had lasagna with chicken in it before. I’m sure it taste fine, but I’ve never seen it. We usually use ground beef or ground turkey meat.

Chicken is acceptable, if different. But I agree on the lack of marinara sauce. It looks like they're eating some kind of chicken alfredo pasta, not classic lasagna.

Love this channel, but very often you present dishes that are so off the mark. Lasagna with chicken is NOT lasagna, try serving it with a traditional meat sauce. And how about plating your offerings, rather than serving them in aluminum or plastic containers--let our villagers really enjoy their meals as they should.

If you Google chicken lasagna you’ll find many chicken lasagna recipes and many of them are creamy white lasagna. So what they’re having is lasagna. It doesn’t need to have a tomato sauce to be called lasagna.
