Mr Chaudery, this is considered an appetizer and can go with a full meal. Many Americans open small restaurants or food trucks serving Mexican foods, and are successful. Do it! Taco's, Burritos, Nachos, soups, great Salsa...

When my daughter was growing up - cheese nachos were our traditional Christmas Eve dinner. We could come home from service at our Episcopal church, I could pour tortilla chips on a baking dish, sprinkle with a lot of cheese, stick under the broiler and - BAM - instant festive dish. I'd spread a special tablecloth on the living room floor in front of the TV, put on Christmas cartoons, pour her a glass of raspberry ginger ale (otherwise banned from the house) and The Short Person and I would enjoy a meal we didn't have any other night of the year. When she was about 7, as we enjoyed the special night, she took a bite, sighed and exclaimed, "These are the BEST chips you have ever made!!!" I've had many, many happy memories of being a mother to this particular wonder child - but this is right up there in the top tier. I love nachos!!!!!

That would be “Nachos de POYO,” this is how the ‘l’ is pronounced in Spanish. And I think I’ll keep the nachos and you can have the lentil dumplings and curd Mr Rana😝 lentils are a superfood sure, and I like them, but when you’re craving something tasty and kind of cheeky I can’t say that lentils come to mind!

What is nachao?

Nachos are triangular pieces of thin tortilla bread, which are fried until crispy. They are piled up onto a plate and then covered with cooked Mexican-spiced ground beef, chicken or beef-based chili, along with shredded cheeses, lettuce and tomato pieces. Sometimes, salsa replaces the tomato pieces. Optional additions include chopped onions, black olives and jalapeno peppers. Some people might add other vegetables but those are the most common ones. The white sauce is sour cream. Sometimes, there is also a red Mexican sauce but the meat/chili is usually so well-seasoned, you don't need it.
