Sword dancing for me is so powerful. When I handle the sword it becomes a part of me and my soul, it's my weapon of choice. Almost like a connection the the past is formed. I take a lot of my inspiration from mid and north African dance and throughout the Middle East. I have a strong belief that sword dancing should be kept as a testiment to the original use for the sword and holding the sword in the highest light no matter what style it's danced with. It is a weapon after all, and when I see dancers treating the sword with the respect of a weapon it makes me so proud! 🗡

Wow! Why does this not have 11,097 likes? And a lot more views! This is just all around great in every way. Strong and elegant dancing. Beautiful costuming. And great sword work! I see so many dancers at festivals and on you tube that just produce a sword and that's it. Just show us a sword. I like the way you actually work with it. And even the presentation of it is unique.
