Thanks for the video, it really helped me to decide which bike I need to take. I took rc100 fb. I am really happy with its performance. Bought cycle on Friday and on Saturday I went for a 54km ride and on Sunday completed 100kms. If possible can you make a video on upgrading rc 100 fb to claris groupset and how much it will cost. Planning to upgrade it in future.

Hi i am planning to upgrade to rc 100 from single speed.need feedback from you. Roads in my area not that great, with potholes and bit of a gravel. So can i go for it? or i have to adjust with MTB?

If the roads are pretty bad with full of potholes - you may go for a mtb. If you have atleast 70% of the total trip in good road condition you may very well go ahead with rc 100.

@@eldosnk8781 sorry for the delay bro... i wont suggest crossway 15 v as it comes with front suspension and its quoted weight is 14.6 kgs which is on the higher side. coming to bergamount helix 1.5 - price quoted for you is on the higher side but again in the current scenario of high demand and poor availability we have no options. helix used to come with shimano tourney tx series components and shimano crank - please confirm with your dealer whether the cycle available has shimano components. helix 1.5 is definitely one of the best looking cycles in that segment - weight is 13 kgs - not at all a bad weight - in short a definitely suggested bike if no other options are available. if you have other options available - i will suggest trek fx1 as first priority and giant escape 3 as second one. as an addition i would like to add marin farefax 1 also. best option would be trek fx 1 - simply because of better components (shimano altus , many of the components like seat post, tire, rims, are of bontrager brand) and better alloy for the frame.

I did the same research few weeks bak. I think you can add marin fairfax1 to the list. The advantage of fairfax 1 above escape 3 are the follows 1) fairfax 1 has cassette when escape 3 has freewheel.. cassette is much advanced than freewheel and the upgradability is better. 2) fairfax 1 has a mechanical discbrake, when escape 3 has v brakes.. though the mechanical discbrake do not offer any advantage in braking efficiency over the v brakes, it can be upgraded to hydrolic disc brake easily compared to v brake. 3) fork of fairfax 1 is made of cromoly steel which can absorb more vibrations compared to aluminium alloy in escape 3. Disadvantage of fairfax 1 over escape 3. 1)The frame of escape 3 is single butted which is absent in fairfax1. 2) the disc brake in fairfax 1 increases the weight. My choice would be.. trek fx1>fairfax1>escape3. Disclimer: i am not a pro in cycling, and i dont own a cycle. This reply is purely based on the research i did few months back when planned to buy a cycle. Please confirm tue specs before deciding. The specs may have changed since i did the research. Btw you may not be able to buy any of these if your budget is strictly below 35k. May need some relaxation atleast up to 40k. You need to buy atleast a helmet, and some much needed fittings on bike no?

My triban rc 100 chain and cassette is wornout. I have changed it. But next I want to upgrade it next time. I need your suggestion. Should I upgrade to alivio groupset or claris groupset. Which will be cheap to maintain. I am having flat bar.

My claris upgradation video will be out soon. Claris woould be better performing as it is road oriented group set and alivio is hybrid/mtb oriented groupset. Claris would be costly thogh.

If you are new to cycling - rapide as it has hybrid geometry - much more beginner friendly. If you have used either mtb or a hybrid bike before and now looking for pure speed then rc 100 would be the choice.

Flat tire issue as such is not there. The main issue is with respect to spoke breakage.

It is possible with the multitool kit avaialble in decathlon. The seat post clamp can be loosened with size 4 allen key.

I wont suggest this one for a complete beginner. If you are a beginner go for either hybrid or mtb depending on your riding condition and as an upgrade this rc 100 can be considered. Beginners may not like the positioning of road cycle.

Nice video. I am trying for triban RC 120 M size bike or riverside 120 M size bike. But the stores are out of stock of this models. Some store said riverside 120 discontinued. Another store says they will get the stock in next year only.

rc 120 has been updated and its available in the decathlon app. Now rc 120 comes with front n back mechanical disc brakes and new paint scheme and its renamed as rc 120 DISC IN - you may find the same in the app sir.

Hi. I have seen a used cycle Triban 100 2018 purchased.. but very rarely used like 2k km only ridden. It is with Freewheel at rear.. is it ok ? Can I mod later? I have checked the website specifications also it is equipped with 14-34 T Shimano tz500-7 freewheel
