“What happens if a lion boils soup?” “Animal kingdom” is a pun. The word “guk” means both soup/broth and country. Dongmul-ui (animal) wang (king) guk (country/soup). The lion is the king of all animals, so when he boils soup, it’s the animal king soup. Hope that makes sense? 😅

Yes to add on, the joke is that "soup made by the king of animals" sounds like "animal kingdom" in Korean, with king of animals being the lion 😂

at the amusement park episode - what they were doing before the rides is what the staff does every time the ride starts. It's like a spiel but there are very lively staff that does it really well and their videos go viral. you can search for them here. Taehyung and Namjoon were trying to mimic those who were well known haha - the windows shut down sound for hobi is so funny - RUN BTS editing team is top tier!!! with their captions and edits of proving when the members lie haha - also memorize challenge??? for the rapline?? it's over hahah if someone is used to memorizing so many words it WOULD BE the rapline lmao

Honestly, I really like listening to you discuss your own life and thoughts and opinions between these episodes! Not only are you really funny and (idk how to describe it lol) comfortable, but it's interesting to hear how YOU think. I come from a fairly religious family and moved away from it as I grew and as my morals felt like they were too far removed from it all. I'm agnostic, because I'm often just as confused about what I even believe in. Sometimes, you just need to understand what religion is to you compared to what OTHER people think it should be for you.

My house hold is Christian and strongly routed in faith. Your sharing at the end of video really healed my heart after a heated debate with my parents on similar topics tonight. I'm a strong believer of God and held my faith precious to me every step of my life. But I'm not religious anymore much to my mother's disappointment. I understand her point of view but there are so my questions that arise in my mind and heart with no concrete answers. Sorry for the rant but thankyou for honestly sharing your thoughts and helping others realize that they are not alone on this path. God bless💜💜💜

1:59:41 I'm from a very Christian family too. Read the bible more than once and even different versions of the bible. Watched my family and everyone in their congregation use it as a reason to hate people. But my mom was the one who made me question things because she wasn't like that. She had grown up during the times of segregation and race riots. And yet there wasn't a hateful bone in her body. When my family told me I was gong to hell when I came out, she said all that matters is I'm happy. When they stopped letting my nieces see me because I decided being pagan aligned with my beliefs of peace, love and respect towards others and the world around us- My mother, a Christian, became our patron saint. Joining us at sabbaths, making treats and crafts- not participating because it wasn't her thing, but fully there to support. Because of her I started to learn. I read the Torah, the Dead Sea Scrolls, I read the stories of Buddha and the Prophet Mohammad. I did my research. You are very right in saying the Bible is flawed because man is flawed. It's already a translation from the original Aramaic and early Christian monks who translated it filled it with their own ideologies. They even took out large parts, like Mary Magdalene and Judas' "chapters". I'd highly recommend you check out the Dead Sea Scrolls. You'll notice each version of the bible is changed to reflect the ideals of the person who translated it or ordered it translated. The King James version of the bible is filled with misogyny because King James was a disgusting pedo who hated women, so of course his version of the bible reflects that. And yet it's still widely used today. People will gladly twist the words of the bible to create hate and it has been that way forever now. All while ignoring what's actually in it. "God" in their earliest appearance, speaks of theirself with the pronoun "We"- the he/him and assigning them as male, all done by us. God is a celestial being, they're non-binary and don't have a physical sex. But look how people in the US are using their religion to take away the rights of trans and queer people like myself. When in truth, we're more in the image of their God than they are, buuut they also don't think their God's identity is valid. I'd love to know how God feels about that, actually.

Okay, I need to be your friend!! I was raised loosely Christian - my family never made me go to church - but I went to different denominations with friends for years. I also have studied theology as well as anthropology and sociology. I am always interested in learning new things and I have always had a difficult time understanding how people can so easily accept whatever is the status quo at the time... I have family who believe their way, their interpretation of Christianity, is the only way and they can't even fathom that any one else's opinions could possibly be valid... It's maddening!! Isn't hubris supposed to be a sin?? Aish!! Anyway, I'm a bisexual cis female and I began studying Wicca at the age of 16years. old. Since then, after getting married (to a bisexual cis male - ironically) and having a child (who's 14 & identifies as non-binary!!), I've adopted all faith into my own version of spirituality where whatever is good = equals = what is right, no matter what labels or faces you put on it. The vast concepts of deity are just constructs that help us understand the energies of ourselves and our realities within our universe... Why folks feel the need to chastise difference, is beyond me. Anyway, just wanted to say, Blessed Be!! Amen!! Namaste!! and Love and Light to you and yours!! Thanks for sharing your opinions!! I appreciate your point of view!! Mad respect to you, my Tribe-Cousin!!

27:13 Woah, maybe because they are rappers and have to memorize a ton of words on the regular, the challenge was easy for them? It looked like they just glanced at it a couple of times and they were good. J-hope didn't even look at his after the ride got going. I didn't even see RM with a card. As a person with a shit memory, I'm shook. It's funny how Suga is good at badminton but bad at tennis and J-hope is good at tennis but bad at badminton. I think it might have been because he was using his left side and he's right handed.

YAs! I strongly relate to what you said, that encountering something in which you find meaning is more valuable than money these days, cause everything seems more and more pointless. The bare minimum I want from life right now is to just have enough money to not worry about money and to live my days in a meaningful way. I am in my late 20's and I am female. I grew up feeling very free, dreaming, exploring imagination, stories, studying what I wanted... But recently I feel that I am seen in a different way by family members, for example, my grandparents and great uncles/aunties. They only know to ask me whether I found a job already or when will I get a boyfriend. They say stuff like 'the time is passing, you have to get married, get kids'. Even with my parents, I know they don't mean nothing bad, but I know my father clearly has this expectation of me marrying and giving them grandchildren. And it is terrible because you feel like they don't see you as a full human being but only as their expectations (not my father or mother tho, the older peeps). Maybe I am being dramatic, but this is why it is so painful for me to have some of these interactions these days. I don't need them to approve of how I live my life, I just wished they could interact with me without constantly throwing their own expectations into my self. I don't even know where I was going with this. Anyway, your rant made me rant. This has been frustrating me for months and months now. Another thing you said that I relate to is the growing up in a very Christian household. Yes, this is my case, and I was even very much envolved in a religious movement for part of my childhood and basically my whole teenage years. These days, I can't say I am Christian in what Christians consider enough to be a Christian. I follow His teachings (the ones I see sense in) and I explore spirituality in general. The limitations of the Bible are so obvious to me, you know? Maybe it is because I studied Communication, or because I've always been interested in its topics, or maybe it is just because I see all the stuff that doesn't make sense and its clearly flawed period marks that are just full of prejudice and narrow-mindedness. If I can't trust my own judgement, I might not be able to trust anything in this life. I would go insane. I can discuss stuff with people, but I can't go against what I feel is right or wrong. The way the majority of Christians are so self-assured when they condemn other people for being who they are, saying they are living in sin for just being themselves... It is so frustrating. There is a lack of ability to rethink what is written in the Bible (and what is not written in the Bible but was taught from generation to generation and considered an unquestionable truth) and to look at it with a very humanistic gaze. If people simply consider and teach that you can't trust your senses and your earthly rationality because it is flawed, and that you need to let yourself be enlightened by the Holy Spirit... And then they say that what God wants is actually the dogmas the churches created... That what God wants (coincidentally) is exactly what those people defend as right, but you can't trust your judgement.. you are wrong. I can't accept any of it. While they demonise LGBTQIA+ folks, they are making people (HUMANS) suffer for absolutely no reason and oppressing them for no rational argument that could fit an ethical issue. Anyway, these days I avoid more and more talking about this with Christians, because in the end I am just saying I believe in selected things that are in the Bible and they point their fingers at me for that. I am saying things they consider heresies and giving them fuel to turn away and not listen to me. I am gonna do my thing, live my life, connect with the people that get me or respect what I think and feel, and move on. I hope I didn't offend Christian people with my thoughts this is my honest personal rant and experience. I hope you all have a wonderful day and that you can find meaningful things along the way.

Jonathan, laughing with you as you watch these classic Run BTS episodes is good for my soul. 💜 As a Christian, I appreciate your honest and transparent wrestling with your faith. Your realness is refreshing. Your questions are normal. At some point, those of us who grow up in religious families have to choose whether or not to take the baton our parents want to pass to us. You bring up two crucial obstacles: the hypocrisy of Christians and the fallibility of Biblical authors. Since you are familiar with the Bible, I hope I can encourage you to consider that a fundamental tenet of Christianity is the unique nature of scripture as God's message revealed to ordinary men through the supernatural inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The writers are flawed; the message is not. Similarly, when I'm discouraged by the conduct of people who say they are Christian (myself chiefly), I try to reset my mind by focusing on the object of my worship. I pray you'll find peace in the perfection of Christ. I will say, though, I think your parents are right on when they talk about your mental talents. Your reaction to Hobi's On the Street caught my attention, but your positivity, creativity, and intelligence have kept me here. Borahae! 💜

I really respect your outlook on the bible and religion in general. Being non religious myself for a variety of reasons - from my parents deciding to let my sister and i choose when we were old enough to understand what it all meant, to having religious people shun and belittle me for not carrying the same faith and beliefs as them, I’d honestly had enough of people saying “god said this or that” I NEVER judge or belittle people for what they choose to believe but I hold a lot of respect especially for people like yourself. It’s fine to believe but as curious beings, I say question EVERYTHING. Also, I don’t think you’re failing at all - you can choose your own path as an adult, remember that Suga didn’t have his parents blessing for his career and look at him now. Something i learned fairly recently: FAIL = First Attempt In Learning. Sometimes things work out, sometimes they don’t but the important thing is marching to the beat of your own drum. Your parents are your parents no matter what and you’ll always love them, but you’ve also created a family within the tribe and we’re proud of you, you’ve built a place that feels far more personal than a KZbin channel should be and it’s somewhere I come to get comfort as I’m sure it is for a lot of viewers. My husband works freelance and it’s something his parents cannot understand because they view it as “undependable” but he contributes more to our family of 4 than I do. my parents are thrown off because I have a college degree I don’t use and wish I hadn’t gotten - so I felt that part a lot. As a parent my greatest fear is that my brain will stop accepting and understanding new paths, ideas and ways of life. Just know that, while it is hard, parental acceptance isn’t necessary. As long as you’re happy and can pay your bills. So if you need to hear a mom say it, I will: do whatever makes you happy and I’m proud of you following your heart

I get what you mean. I grew up catholic and VERY involved in church. I loved it, was a place of solace for me. But I grew up and started noticing different practices in different churches, started seeing different opinions and actions from people. Then I took a look at the history of the world and honestly, now I believe religious institutions are not only extremely flawed but dangerous for the thinkers and dreamers of the world. Religious views based on a book that some dudes wrote thousands of years ago are used as an excuse for people to conform their thoughts and actions, many times going against what they're supposed to be preaching about. Deep inside I think I still believe in some aspects of what was ingrained in me when little, but I completely severed my relationship with very flawed, man made institution of the church and what their interpretation of what being religious is supposed to be... anyway! episode 54 has a big chunk of my heart! hope you're fine! (also not trying to offend anyone, these are just my opinions after many years of uncertainty, second guessing, reseaching, and experiencing life)

The thing you said about religion kinda resonates with me a lot. It took me a lot of time for me in order to separate what god meant to me, and what the 'religion' my family taught me is. I still don't know and I have many doubts. I do have faith, i honestly don't know what i would be doing rn if i didnt.. but when you grow up listening to stuff that you had to unlearn for years after, it's kinda hard to make a clear distinction. and it's more scary to let my family know stuff about me which clearly is important, but i can't because they know they will hate me for it. and asians families are very... yeah yk it. I never talked about this to my parents because oh boy if they get to know my faith is dwindling a bit i would be out of my house sjkdhfjk also i am taking a lot of L's rn so it's kinda bad for me. idek if there is a clear answer or some shit but really if something makes you happy then never get away from that path. because that's the answer, at least for me. having something that matters greatly to you is not something that happens a lot, so i truly hope that the fire always keeps burning inside of you and that you keep going no matter what. pursuing your dream, and walking towards the path is one of the most euphoric moments you can ever experience and man i really miss when i had them TT i would blame the pandemic or whatever for losing that love but idk anymore, so don't let this happen. you are very very cool and we love it

Yay! Thank you for these reactions Jonathan! I’ve missed your run bts video so much!! P.s I most clear my guy Suga’s name(Not that he’s above cheating tho lol, like how he cheated a little in the Blue Village episodes), it was V who cheated in the spy escape room. He kept flipping the camera screen so it would shine light in the dark room.😂

I believe that we should follow our dreams, or whatever we want to do we our lives because at the end of the day it's ours live, not our parents, we need to make mistakes to learn from them and do better, if we hold back i believe is something that we will regret. So i hope you can keep doing what makes you happy

Your relationship with God should be extremely personal to you - do not let anyone - religious people (I'd recommend you read about Jesus and the Pharisees because he also dealt with corrupt and narcisitic religious people) or the Christian community - disuade you from reading your Bible or talking to God FOR YOURSELF. People are flawed, all people, Christians included. You can take people's advice, but in the end, everything needs to line up with the Word of God, not just someone's opinion. I've learned my relationship with God is extremely personal to me. I can still talk and discuss the Bible with other believers - and I make a point to do this because the Word says not to forsake the assembly of the righteous, but at the end of the day, it's me and the Father - no one else. I just want to encourage you as a fellow believer and a younger person. Yahweh is fully accesible to you through his Word and I encourage you to study it for yourself. Seek Him sincerely and He will answer you. As for the church and religious community, there's a lot wrong there and there has been a lot wrong there even when Jesus was dealing with corrupt religious officials, so you really just have to be aware of people's fickle nature and be in your Word for yourself. Praying for you and your family! :)
