The bts members always surprise me with how much they love each other. I relate to your reaction to them just talking on and on about themselves and the team 😭😭😭😭😭 Like so much love that it expanded and reaches the army. As a 2018 fan what broke me about this episode was tae talking about how he felt so desperate for a single day of rest back in 2018. To the point where he contemplated hurting himself so that he could just rest. I am so glad by 2019 they healed and took their first official rest. And now with chapter 2, it all about rest. They are making music when and whenever they wish without pressure. 2018 was a HUGE year for bts. Their followers doubled in size with the love Yourself trilogy albums. I was part of those fans. And that speech at mama 2018 happened like 3 months after I became a full blown army. I was scared terrified and so sad for them. Traumatised😭✋ But we never knew the full details until now. BTS are like that, sometimes certain meanings of songs will only be explained after years passed after releasing them. They always take their time to heal and process before making things public. Like Outro Tear. When that song came out, we didn't know the lyrics were for the members, everyone was vibing and making jokes about who hurt bts this much? Especially with jhope verse, people were like omg did he get divorced or something... It was only a year later in the documentary film we heard suga say that the song was written about their emotions during 2018 toward the members. The entire love Yourself Tear album reflects their 2018 emotions. All their albums are true to the emotions bts have gone through. Love Yourself answer was like the healing process.

Yes this is so beautiful, thank you for explaining. I'm a late 2020 army but I've been studying and catching up on everything about bts and army and so ik the significance of 2018. Thats why I think 2018 was the best/worst year and 2018 armys are real GOATS cause they did the unachievable. So many things from our own fandom culture to topping the music industry there was so much that happened. So thank you for being an army and I hope we get to be together for a long time 💜

"Let's get our shit done." Why was that the most motivating statement I've heard in a hot minute? I also resonate with V so much. He's a true critical thinker, yet truly passionate in his ideals and decisions. He's mysterious, yet incredibly sweet. And his music is legitimate FIRE. This episode of "Suchwita" got me really in my feels because it's my two biases sitting down having an intimate conversation. As another commenter mentioned, I really hope Yoongi continues this show after he comes back from his enlistment.

What a nice surprise! Hi! So happy all members got to be on suchwita before Yoongi leaves. I hope he continues this series even after reunion, he is very very good at it!! (It was heartbreaking to hear V talk about how he felt back then, that he was even considering getting hurt on purpose because he was so desperate for a single day off. I’m glad they got their wake up call and realised things needed to change and they don’t feel that way anymore. Like he said, he really does look so happy and healthy now that they have more flexible schedules.)

34:42 I’m at this part in the BTS book Beyond the Story and it goes into further details on all the members and I got pretty emotional reading it, I became Army in late 2017/early 2018 and so it’s hard to picture what they were struggling with when I had found them bc I was dealing with similar feelings and obstacles but they were my light 💜 I’m glad they were able to make the choices that were best for them and that they have grown stronger from the experiences :)

I love that edit in the end with V dancing in the background 😂 this episode really hit me emotionally I never knew the reason the considered disbanding was cause they were just so physically and emotionally exhausted 😢 I'm glad they found the strength to carry on though just think of all the amazing music and other stuff we would have missed out on if they didn't I found BTS after coming out of the hospital and recovering from covid in February 2021 I had my 18 month old son to take care of and my elderly mom and my husband also got covid so I was also emotionally exhausted and one day I came across dynamite and It put me in such a good mood I couldn't get enough of it then i heard butter and had to find out more about those boys had bo idea who they were before but I'm so glad I found them cause they literally saved me mentally and emotionally OT7 forever 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I enjoyed re-watching this with you, Loui, thank you so much! As you said, all 7 really love each other so it breaks my heart when solo fans try to tear down other members to raise up their favorites. Do they really believe that their favorite member enjoys seeing their brother(s) being hurt for the sake of charts and recognition? 2018 was tough year for them man it was hella tough. they had ppl jumping on them from everywhere it was depressing i'm not a 2018 army but the 2018 ones who suffered said it still traumatizes them. i'm so proud of them they really made it here. the true ones and tannies deserves hugs and all love. i just hope solo era gives them alot of rest. many new comers will say bts broke in US bc of dynamite which is not true. they did well in US back in 2017 they had a top 10 hot 100 entry with fake love in 2018. they won award shows not only korean but also US ones. LY had a grammy nomination for album design i think i dont remember. they had success step by step it never happened ones they gradually became what they're today and i sincerely believe this is not peak there are many things they are yet to achieve. and yes my boys worked harder than anyone else ppl constantly discrediting them pisses me off this is why.

32:08 I know you're scared of that clip, I was too cause I didn't wanna see them cry. But I think you'll be ready by that time you reach that album and year(2018 so you have time). But it's an important part of the journey and 2018 was a really important year for them in both good and bad ways. Learning to listen to them and allowing them to express their sorrows, worries, fears and vulnerabilities has never been more eye opening and inspiring. That's what I love so much about them is that they're always honest. Even if they can't say everything then, they tell us later (like this info was told to us 5 years later) and that just makes me appreciate and feel more connected to them, both as people and artists. So it's ok, you're still a baby army. But you'll grow with them and that's one of the best experienes life can offer.
