Not sure if that 5200mah battery is a 21700 or a custom one. But just in case anyone find this useful: I have original stormbox. Battery sucked after 2 years. Opened it up, and replaced the 18650 battery for a good quality one (original was really low quality). Now the speaker lasts for almost 36hs. Sometimes is better t stick to old version with upgradable components, than with new versions and "difficult-to-find" components (in this case a "5200mha battery").

So was it an easy fix? Or does it require some violent disassembly? My OG Stormbox seems to have less battery life these days, and I have a couple of good 18650 cells around.

@@prolificity it took me 2 hours to dissasemble and put it back together. If you have a spot welder, it could take 1,5 houra max.

Planning to replace my stormbox battery too. When you opened it, what was the color of the original battery? Do you have pictures of the battery with wires?

Hi, awesome video. Could u plz suggest best portable speaker under 75 $ (6000 indian rupees ) considering sound quality and battery. I found xsoundplus 2, stormbox2, soundcore glow, earfun uboom L, jbl flip 5. Which is best among those? or any other in this range?

@@akashkanodia1408 I bought xsoundplus 2, sound quality is good and battery is superv, but base is slightly less considering 28W output. My friend has bought jbl flip 5 and honestly it sounds better than tribit and has more bass, only downside is lesser battery. If u prefer sound quality and bass just go with jbl.

Strombox 2 is best in this price range currently for 5000 only competition is jbl flip 6 which is for 9k , flip 5 doesn’t stands against this.

Wonderful review, Brannon D. I have watched this review multiple times. There was an early bird offer for the StormBox 2 speaker for a few days in June here in India via Amazon, and I got two of them for Rs 3,599 ($43.17) each. True to your review, the sound is very impressive. I, however, prefer the customisable EQ to the xBass for even better sound quality. Pairing the two in stereo mode is great and the sound is amazing. In order to quickly and visually distinguish the difference between my A and B speaker, I have removed the strap on the A speaker. In any case, I do not intend to hang either of my two speakers. By the way, how do you compare the Tribit StormBox 2 speaker with the Tribit XSound Plus 2 speaker, especially since you have reviewed both of them? Your style of presenting the review is an impressive as the content itself. Keep up the great work. Wishes from Goa-India.

I could really use your help. Im working on creating a portable theatre set up my current dilemma is the sound. the projector speaker stinks but has a 3.5 out port. So with your experience what would be great speaker for movies? average speaker size like the stormbox 2 or the Xsound plus 2 for easy travel. also curious will they work while charging? any help Id appreciate.

Timing couldn't have been better. i have the original Stormbox and still use it to this day. But i'm also looking for a new compact speaker and a certainly don't mind sticking with Tribit.

i have this one just now. you dont need to have a screw driver for the strap, just twist the screw to loosen. it's easy and not a con for me.

I had stormbox first one was much better then upgraded two. I'm talking about base. We all love base right? So don't waste your money like I did ...i also having votomy vt360 and i can tell it is much better than stormbox 1 or 2...or jbl 5/6. My honesty.

Great 34w speaker I paired it in party mode with the slow & x sound plus 2 and the is awesome I recieved it a couple months. Back only did a audio test thiugh x bass😊

Hello I own the 1st gen stormbox 360 and it is capable of connecting to a second stormbox giving you a stereo TWS , at least I tried and it was working perfectly. The first gen already was a gem for 50usd few years ago and I love it so far. I wish you could compare both and not just compare the spec sheets 😅
