I was about to die from an overdose in my apartment in Miami all alone after so many different drugs…I went to grab my phone and I couldn’t even see what I pressed and out of no where KZbin started and this song played. I truly believe prison ministry is the #1 ministry overlooked by Christians. I am so proud of Kirk for doing this! We are all broken and fighting battles every single day. Not everyone in prison deserves to be there. And there are many many prisoners who are able to be rehabilitated.

SOME ARE meant to be there. God ALWAYS has a plan & His plan is ALWAYS better than OURS. I did volunteer work in jails & prisons for years and it was the MOST rewarding experience of my life! The first time those bars locked behind me and I had to sign the paperwork that said if I became a hostage they wouldn't do anything to rescue me, having 4 kids made me scared, but I prayed. The prisoners were SO grateful for us being there that it made it such a blessing & I couldn't wait to go back. I ended up going to many County Jails & State Prisons since that first time. There is a HUGE need for volunteers & ppl don't know how easy it is to become one and just HOW REWARDING it is. You can contact your local jail or church to find out how to begin the process. Sister Jeana Tai' Faith is speaking the TRUTH! Many, many prisoners are able to be rehabilitated. 12 years ago I was an atheist and was going though hell. I went to a bridge and was about to jump and God spoke to me and said I had one more nation. I did not know it but I accepted Jesus in my life and got married again and had a baby boy. Today he is 7 years old and I now understand what God meant when he said I had one more in me. Imagine if I had of jumped, that beautiful boy would not have made it here in this world. God is so AWESOME! I am what heaven looks like and my testimony is what it sounds like.

Had an emergency c-section October 4th. Baby girl wasn’t breathing and my placenta detached. My wife Melanie of 5 1/2 years was killed 6 months ago after shots were fired at our home, one of which struck her while she was reading a bedtime Bible story to our 6-month-old. I now find myself a single father with two daughters (1 & 2 1/2 years old) at the age of 26. But despite the immense pain/loss I feel, I know God is good, faithful and worthy to be praised; even when I don't understand it. So instead of cursing or blaming Him, I choose to be like Job, saying "The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord". This song is beautifully written and a wonderful reminder to never stop singing His praise

My father was a former inmate for a few years before he passed . There is so much corruption in our prisons and the fact that you guys were able to bring gods light in this place is such a blessing! I’m in literal tears just seeing these men praise god you can feel god presence in that room!! My father never lost faith while he was in prison and today is his 4 year anniversary . This is not a story, this is a testimony. As I look back over the years, I have so many challenges that I have to deal with. Back in the late 90s, me and my mother almost lost our lives because she had preeclampsia and it could’ve took both of us out. BUT GOD!!! His grace and his mercy allowed us to live and breathe. At the age of two, I was diagnosed with Cognitive Process Disorder. Meaning I had trouble with reading, miscommunication problems, delayed learning and the craziest thing is that I couldn’t even talk around the age, and that was so hard for me to go through. I even got laughed at and picked on about how I look and talk. I thought I was gone give up on myself. But by the Grace Of God, I been showing progress in middle school, high school, even in college as an undergraduate student. Now, I received my masters degree in elementary education this past month. You see, some people out there don’t know what I been through and the struggles I had to face. I’m just thankful and blessed to achieve that big accomplishment. I also pray that the Lord will change me and make me brand new.
