This man was a formidable power, mind and spirit who positively shaped and impacted the present and futures of SO SO many people. I had the honour of knowing him, working with him on community development programs in various communities. Great integrity, openness and transparency. The passing of this admirable man is a great loss to his family and his community and his Siyafunda team and all the centres! My deepest condolences. We are just in the process now of establishing a partnership with Siyafunda in the Newlands, Johannesburg community. We will work to build it out to honor the legacy of Smiley of empowering communities for a better future.
