Tribute To Carl Smyth

This is a tribute to Madness' nutty boy Carl Smyth, or Cathal, or Chas Smash, haha
I'd like to dedicate this video obviously to him but also to Holly^^

Madness are still bloody awesome, but it will never feel complete without Chas.. I went and saw them live with my mum and my best mate last year, somehow, all of us hadn't realised that Chas had left the band untill they came on stage and my mate just shouted "WHERE IN THE BLOODY HELL IS CHAS SMASH?!" 😂😂 Quick google search, we all felt like idiots. It is a shame though he left.. 🤭

Cathal had a big influence on how I dressed and danced when I was young. He was and is my style icon. Madness (and ska in general) saved me from Disco that's for sure ;). Looking forward to his new musical adventure. By the way, The Wizard, another one of those Madness gems we never hear on the radio. Thanks for posting.

When I did the Madness video , back in the summer of 1985 , called yesterday's men I was one of the 2 children getting dragged along by the ear , the black kid , I had a lot of friendly conversations with Carl Smith and when weeks went by after we did the video he writ me a letter , thanking me for being such a great help in the video , which had me in tears of thankfulness and joy of receiving it which made me happiness , ooorrr they were the glorious days. What a legend.
