John Williams has such a wide range of Cinematic music that works perfectly in movies and also is so wonderful to listen to separately. Many of us have seen the movies he scores, so many times, we can often visualize what is happening on the screen. So many great memories!!!

BRAVO !!! Saludos desde España.

I think he'd say the same thing about Aaron Copeland, who I think is one of many that bridges the gap between him and Williams. Using key, time signature, and rhythm changes is what makes new music so much fun. You have to keep in mind Mozart did not do soundtracks and Copeland did only about a half dozen. I’m sure you can listen to one Williams did from a movie you didn’t see and still enjoy, but you are still imagining a more complex story.

Bellissimo concerto. 😊😊😊 Beautiful concert. I also played these pieces with my orchestra. They play very well but their staff lack a number of French horns to play John Williams' music.

great concert, but I wonder why they felt it was necessary to play the tango from "scent of a woman", not written by Williams, in a John Williams tribute. You could fill 10 full concerts with his unequaled original music, and you pick something he only arranged. It's as if they thought he wrote nothing else that was worthy of making the playlist.

You know what would have been funny? They should have had 2 keyboards, one with piano or whatever else is needed and one for choir so any time a choir sound was needed they could just use that. Obviously it wouldn’t be the same and they would need 1+ players but I still think it would be funny:)

Maybe John Williams should compose a new anthem for the European Union. "Freude schöner Götterfunken" does not really fit any more since the last election. Maybe his work would deal with the intransparancy and corruption, the backroom agreements and the growing threat of the fascist parties.
