I’m so heart broken by his passing. I’ve played Destiny since the first games beta and Zavala’s voice is always the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Destiny. Lance was such an awesome person and truly loved his fans and his work. RIP to the Commander

Per Audacia Ad Astra, We'll all miss him. He was a true character who touched many communities and even tho to some he may be funny blue man, to me he was one of my favorite characters in destiny. He led us, held us together, and fought along side us. It's sad to see him go before we could learn everything about him. We'll miss you lance, the warlocks will all miss your presence and it was an honor to share this game with so many awesome characters.

I think you are absolutely right Evan, he should have a proper sendoff in the upcoming year, a way to pay the ultimate respect in his memory, I like the idea of an Exotic weapon in his honor. The day of his passing I sat in bed late at night watching some of the memorials for Lance Reddick and was crying, cause whether I realized it or not, he had been part of my life since I was at least 14. I'm now 23. R.i.p Lance.

It’s funny how no matter how wild and unhinged gamers can be, we can still all come together to appreciate the games and the people that made the games iconic. I haven’t followed what was happening in Destiny or played it for a while, but if I had had it downloaded, I would have had my Hunter character there among all the others for the memorial. You’ll be missed, Lance. If you were a believer, I hope to meet you some day in a better place, and I’m thankful that you didn’t seem to have had any kind of long painful death, and hopefully that you are sleeping, waiting for your Ghost to awake you for the next fight.

I haven’t cried over an actor/celebrity’s death since Steve Erwin. Lance Reddick’s sudden departure to the next life and seeing the in game memorials for him made me cry at my desk. Commander Zavalla was in my humble opinion the Optimus Prime of Destiny. The unmoving fatherly figure leading the side of good against unending forces of evil. His legacy will last for years to come, and we won’t forget him. As they say, Legends never die.

I legit cried when I found out. He was such a fantastic actor and the fact that he was actually active in the Destiny community as a player just made it hit harder because I would have loved to play a game or two with him. He really was taken from us too soon, but now it's up to us to live on & keep Lance's memory alive. That's is my answer & I can only hope others share that answer with me.
