Celebrities have paid tribute to the former One Direction star Liam Payne, after his death aged 31.
The pop star, who found fame on The X Factor in 2010, died after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Argentina, police say.
Liam was one of five members of One Direction, along with Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Harry Styles.
Former bandmate Harry's mother Anne Twist paid tribute, posting a broken-hearted emoji on Instagram, captioning it: "Just a boy."

People are missing something really important here. Over the past few weeks, months and even years this guy has been the subject of extremely intense ridicule over the internet. The level of criticism he received would be impossible for anyone to deal with, and I think it's very likely that it played a part in the poor guy's further descent into substance abuse and ultimately his death. We need to start understanding the devastating effect that mass online scrutiny can have on a person and treat these celebrities more like fellow human beings.

Mental illness is a terrible thing, it is a life sentence of the mind. You push your loved ones away, and you are isolated in your tortured existence. You turn to drugs and alcohol to numb the pain, but it never goes away. Your intentions are good, but it always backfires, and you handle situations with aggression and verbal abuse, because it is the only way you know how. I can relate to Mr Payne, because I myself am a victim of mental illness, namely depression and a personality disorder. I am a rugby and boxing loving man who would not be caught ever listening to boy bands, but I am crying for Mr Payne, because I know what he was going through. I wish I could have given him a hug. I hope he has finally found the peace he was lacking in this world.

I too once fell from the kitchen window of my apartment on the third floor, but I was drunk as a skunk and there was snow on the ground because it was the first week of February. I woke up in the ICU and only my hip was in pain and my ring finger had surgery.
