Trichoderma Fungi: Some Surpising Facts

All mushroom culivators have been there. You see a blue/green mold (usually trichoderma fungi) growing on your mushroom media. Trichoderma fungi show up in our petri plates, liquid culutre, grain spawn, bulk substrates and pretty much anywhere else that it can. While farmers dread it, it's actually a wonderful fungi for the ecosystem. This world would not be the same without it.
A great way to combat contaminiation is to undersatd it better, and that's what our good friend Larry Evans has done for us in this video. Learn about trichoderma, try to find respect and you will have a better time in your battles with this pervasive fungus.

Burry your contaminated spawn or substrate in your garden. Chances are the mushrooms might grow outside and you spread the beneficial Trich into your garden.

I'm a small producer and I deal with my share of "infection", notably Trichoderma. I have been landfilling my infected blocks (masters mix). Are these actually ok to add to the compost pile? For that matter can I throw all my "infected" (my position - anything other than mycelium of intended species is infected) blocks in the compost pile?

What's the relationship of Thrich with plants? How come is so ubiquitous? Also, why is one speaker stealing the introduction of another? XD

Not sure what you mean by your comment on the speaker! But trich is great for the soil, mostly because it minimizes other plant pathogens :

It gets attracted to plants roots, colonizes it and prevents other plant pathogens, coming close. Trichoderma hence, senses siderophones and move towards plant roots

I added trichoderma solution in cow dung+neem cake mix. After a week i had trichoderma growth on top of it. Then I mixed it again and kept for another week as told in a lot of vedios. But there's no growth till now. What would be the reason for this issue.

Amateur mycologist, professional vocalist here. The mycologist in me just wants to learn more about Trichoderma, but the vocalist in me absolutely *cannot stand* watching this guy keep his jaw clenched completely shut while talking. His lips are moving and he's still phonating obviously but he is talking through clenched teeth and it is driving me crazy so much that I had to stop the video. People are supposed to naturally open their mouth and move their jaw when they speak normally, this guy is talking like his jaw is wired shut. It made this video unwatchable for me.

Very immature reaction imo. Something in life like a medical condition, past or current stimulate drugs abuse, or even certain medications could cause that certain problem. You cant not hear someone out because of something so miniscule. I could only imagine your trouble speaking to someone with something as tardive dyskinesia or something. Im not judging and can understand your point of view too (especially as a vocalist) but cant let it let us ignore so quickly. With a more patient open mind we'll learn alot more. 😊👍✌️p.s. he could have been checked on the open ice, broke his jaw, and had his jaw wired shut once, you as a hockey fan should get a giggle out of that 😊 peace again ✌️
