I came across this video in my news feed, and it definitely piqued my curiosity. I had some artifacts farmed on my account and 12 test subjects. I also possessed 4* artifacts with crit damage and either def% or def flat stats, so I decided to try my luck. I managed to obtain one artifact with crit, but the others turned out to be random. So, in essence, it doesn't seem to work. I also attempted to upgrade an artifact to +20 using this method, but the results were random as well. It probably never worked, or it may have been patched, considering that this video is a year old. Mihoyo wouldn't want their algorithm exposed; their primary goal is to slow down your progress.

I also used the method and sometimes it worked one time it even went to a 3 liner piece with 34 crit value but sometimes it just doesn’t work but I do have the feeling that it increases the chance of getting crit pulls and also it seems that this method works better if you are trying to get 4th substat but increasing the crit stats is a bit harder (in my opinion)

a trick I found in the most recent patch that works 90% of the time is when you have 1 more upgrade level to go (4, 8, 16, 20) and you use different artefact types (no 2 the same) it always upgrades my crit substat. like i use 1 noblesse, 1 heart of depth and 1 emblem. doesnt matter the fodder substat it always does that. bonus if the type of fodder is also different like 1 flower, 1 feather and 1 circlet for example. i have been doing this and it gives crit upgrade 9 times out of 10 no matter the substats of the fodder im using I know it's random luck but for some reason, this has been working in the current patch for me regardless of other factors. I also found when using a 5 star flower alone to raise the level to 4, 8, 16, 20 etc it usually upgrades the crit substat. edit. I used this method to get a 14% crit rate substat on 1 artifact and a 42.2% crit damage substat value on a different artifact :) However, I also noticed that there are certain days of the week where you have higher chances for certain substats over others regardless of the method. @@shiroxa15 I have used the same method on any day of the week randomly and it worked. the times when a day favours a certain substat pops up randomly so i always check with 2 or 3 unrelated artefacts to see if its forcing def or another substat regardless of what I do then i wait until reset to try again

There is this unspoken truth that hoyo's game code follows for it's chance based system. Your average chance to get a 5star statistically stays below 5% uptil 64 pity (character banner) and spikes up drastically right after. Similarly, in case of artifacts the rarer stats to get are crits followed by ER, EM followed by atk and biggest chance is Def and HP. So if you sacrifice a rare-stat filled artifact for leveling up, it gets you a higher chance for having/enhancing the same/similar rarity stat. It does not work for strongbox.

No matter what you do, there is no way to improve the chance. What you don't understand is that this is not how programming works. The programmer goes there and states that there is X chance of a substatus appearing and it is configured like this. Therefore, if there is a 1% chance of getting out, on average 1 in every 100 attempts will get the substatus and so on.

Holy shit this actually worked. Thank you man. I got a wanderer's flower that was a 3 liner with crit dmg. I tried this, and it actually hit crit rate. I then tried this for every roll until it was +20, and it did not miss at all. It is 19.4 CD and 10.1 CR. I am grateful, thank you so much

This absolutely works. Thank you so much for sharing it. I cannot believe it. Just to make sure it's the same with other stats I tried it with defense and HP too. Essentially, your artifacts scale and roll with whatever you feed into them. Since trying this trick I have completely abandoned strong boxing. I feed artifacts with def as main and sub stats to artifacts I have for characters whose shield, healing or atk scales with defense. And I'm feeding all my HP pieces to my healers or characters whose atk scales with HP. No piece goes to waste. Life is so much easier. Also you need to understand that if you want the crit damage or crit rate to keep rolling you gotta keep feeding it artifacts with crit damage or crit rate. Can't stop after you get the desired fourth sub stat otherwise all the rolls will go to atk or ER or EM which isn't bad but it's not what you're aiming for.

@@caplevi6537 Just give the artifacts you're trying to upgrade, artifacts that have the stats you want them to have. If you want more crit, use artifacts with crit rate or crit damage as their main stat or sub stats. Hope this helped. Ask me questions if you need more help.

I thought this was a scam but now I got crit rate as the 4th substat and the flower has like 10 crit dmg and 12 crit rate thanks man. From my experience the 4th substat being crit it worked 7times out of 11 and before I saw your video it was probably 1out of 10 and after that I kept missing the crit😂

I tried this once and it works most of the time. I tried this on a Hydro damage piece which had HP%, Def% and Crit Damage sub stats. Most of the rolls landed on Crit Damage but I didn't use any Crit 4 star artifacts when it was at lv 18. It triggered the random 2x exp boost and the final roll went to Def%.😢.

Veteran player here, most of my artifacts excluding circlet at the very least has >= 30 CV per piece. I don't have problems getting double crit artifacts, the problem is rolling them up into that crit subs and getting the max roll value, been playing the game since day 1 and i only have around 8 attifacts with >45 CV😅. Well, at this point min maxing artifacts is the only fun i get playing genshin if there's no new archon quest or map to be explored, artifacts is the real gacha

I'm willing to try this later today however i noticed something from watching your attempts, it seems to work every time you use an artifact of the same type as your last fooder, and gives you EM if you used a different type piece, like when you used a goblet as a last piece to roll your Circlet you got EM, also when you used a Sands piece as a last piece to roll your circlet you got EM. but each time you got a crit roll you used a circlet as a last fooder. and also does this work for other artifact types as well or only for circlets ?

Oh I see so Attack % main stat is the one you're using. Mine I feed crt dmg main stat If I want to get crit rate but it doesn't work all the time, and don't bother checking the substat. I'll try this one hehe. It's a waste having a good substat then you lose a good slot for a 4th substat

After playing for three years, what i notice is never wear a piece of god-liked AF while you are upgrading the said piece. In short, unequip it first then either wearing trash piece or none. Your method is interesting though, i will try.

Mate i understand this video would get alota views which it did but you’re straight up just saying things that arent confirmed in any way, if this would be true and the stats of the artifact would adapt the rolls for the substats then more people wouldve caught on by now over these 3 years and some would actually make tests on if that were true and it wouldve spread more, just cause you got lucky a couple times doesnt mean that this increses luck.
