Ooh this is such a fabulous Treat Box Tami! LOVE the new Halloween Plaid papers with their shimmer. So fabulous. I LOVE all the window treatments, the shattered glass, the collage paper options, the jokes, oh my goodness, the joy of that little addition! So cute with the mask embellishments too. The grungy Mummy Cloth is awesome and I LOVE how you coloured the Typography letters, brilliant! The little feet for the tray are amazing! Love the way you created those. I loved Tim's reaction to this in his live too. Such delight in your creativity! Which quite frankly, I, am always in awe of! xoxo

I love, love gift packaging - match boxes, curio boxes, pillow boxes - they're all great! I've bought both of the sparkle plaid packs and though I don't do Halloween your tutorial is sparking lots of ideas for a Christmas divided drawer table favour display. Thank you for the inspiration! ❤

Love your work Tami!.. I do have a question…when working with typography letters, what can be used to color them….I tried using distress ink and it would not dry…. I see you used paint in this project….but what other distress products can be used….is it necessary to sand them first?? TY
@Playswellwithpaper2 ай бұрын
@@gailfuld3121 that’s a great question Gail. The typography letters are acrylic or resin and are nonporous. Distress Inks, stains, oxides, spritz, mica stains, etc are all water reactive and are only for porous products like paper. If you want to color typography you need things like paint or alcohol inks. I chose paint because it is pigment based and I knew it would cover the white easily. The alcohol inks are transparent so the lighter base color will affect the end color. I’m sure you won’t want to experiment much as they are a precious commodity, but you could always try painting a layer of collage medium on them and then coloring with Distress Pencils when it is dry, or even putting some Collage Paper in them with collage medium and see how that works. I have never sanded them. I just pulled them right out of the package, picked my letters and put them in the paint.
