So yeah (lol), I just received the upgraded bias rod R1 and R2. I installed the R1 along with the smallest spring pre-load disc. Well, I love the set up. I wasn’t really sure what to expect, since I love my Trick pedal outfitted with the low mass long boards already, but I’ve been watching Dennis and his You Tube videos for about a year and half and have always been impressed with his attention to detail, quality of the product and willingness to listen to customers as well as fans, of his work. In my opinion the action of the Trick pedal was far above every pedal I have ever played in my 47 years of drum playing. But, with ACD’s Trick upgrades, the pedal is even better now. Smoother action with the same tension throughout the entire beater range with no sticking points. I also installed the ACD Unlimited ultimate drive shaft. This is also a noticeable improvement over the Trick drive shaft. Makes both pedals feel exactly the same. Both pedals also have a more solid punch then they had before. I’m sure this is because of the continual tension through the entire range of beater movement. I’m very excited to say the least. The cool thing is Dennis never sells you his products, but he tells you what to expect and describes why you should expect it. Confidence without being over bearing......the perfect combination. Thanks Dennis. Excellent products. Much respect!

Hell Phil, Wow, thank you very much for your kind feedback and the supportive words. I wish you lots of fun with the upgrades, super happy to hear you enjoy them!

I think we can all admire Dennis’ work and his products, but I hope you didn’t ditch a trick driveshaft for an ACD and claim it was an upgrade? lol they’re basically the exact same design.

I just got the R2 and R3 rods today. Installed the R2 on my Dominators and gotta say, instantly this is exactly what I have been wanting for a long time. I might not even try the R3 since this feels “right” straightaway. I love the design and durability of the Trick stuff more than anything else, but the super stiff feel was wearing on me at times. This takes that away and makes it feel SUPER smooth and effortless making a great pedal even better. If anyone is reading this and is on the fence, definitely give them a shot! It’s very easy to install, the hardest part is the little washer thing that was stuck in the OEM bias rod. One of mine was REALLY jammed in there haha

Would you say they end up feeling like a DW 9000s? I am imagining that the R3s could give that feeling.
@BWDRUMMEROFFICAL Жыл бұрын
@@jamesnikki5 Maybe if you have the chain cams and shortboards but on the Bigfoot direct drive, Nope, its still totally different feeling. It would be more like Axis if anything.

Bruh how tf do I get that washer off lol

@@GHdrumchannel it’s tough man, not gonna lie haha. I found it was easiest to just use something flat (screwdriver) and push at the bottom then the top in alternating pushes to force it out.

Hey!!! Hopefully you been good!. Ordered some parts for my speed cobra and they made them into perfection!!! Planed to make a video on them thanks!!!

Man, this is so cool! Would love to try the R2 version. Cause I've never been able to dial in the comfortable settings on my BigFoot. I bought it in 2011 and pretty much stuck with it, hah

This upgrade is the #1 thing I want to try. I absolutely love the design and sturdiness of the TRICK stuff, but always had a hard time ever getting used to that ultra-stiff feel.

@@dennisdinsmore1959 they are beast!!! Try strap belts they are in between direct and chain.. Direct is more for speed and light foot.

I thought it must be the biasing bar that was the cause. I will be purchasing one.

Hi I tryed to order Trick pedals and get this pedals upgrade next but Trick seems to be stuck to deliver there products, do you think that is better for me to change for the Darwin pedals?
@ACDUnlimited3 жыл бұрын
I'm probably not impartial but ordering some Darwins is a great idea in general ;-) Just write me an email if you're interested. :-)

Yeah, but those trick panels are over $1000 for a double paddle. You would think that they would've already done all these mods that this gentleman has come up with not saying that his mods are not good they probably are but you shouldn't have to spend all that money for $1000 that guy is making a fortune off truck petals he is raking in the money.
@ACDUnlimited10 ай бұрын
"that guy is making a fortune off truck petals" by selling a hand full of custom-made and CNC machined upgrades for a VERY low price compared to the effort it takes to make them.. While ignoring the fact that I like to improve thing yeah, definitely making a fortune.. lol
