I suspend my pump in mid air via a hook. Nothing to vibrate against. Quiet as.

try putting it in a carboard box lined with either foam or fire retardant cotton shirt. Worked wonders for me. Also great to paint the outside and hide chords in as well

nice idea I'll try that, but m thinking the pump will over heat after a while if it's not getting some air around it to cool it.

I put mine inside a portable protector case, made it quiet by 95%.
