Here's an explanation of the songs' concepts, for those who care. Spoilers below: [Prelude: The Storm's Daughter] - The purpose of the prelude is to introduce the character motif, a melody that makes a repeated appearance throughout the album. In this case, that motif was taken from my song "Lament of the Orphanmaker," specifically the line, "Who's this scarlet demon calling me?" [Zuala] - This song focuses on Yasha's relationship with her wife Zuala, their secret marriage, and its downfall. [Amnesia/Storm Altar] - I went for a more mysterious vibe with this song to symbolize Yasha's memory gap, ending with her waking up at the altar of the Stormlord. [The King Has Arrived/The Nein] The first half of this song centers around Yasha's bond with Mollymauk and marks her joining the circus. It uses the motif that will be used in Molly's future album, which I took from the piano part in "The Dirge of Mollymauk Tealeaf." The second half of the song focuses on her meeting the rest of the Mighty Nein and introduces each character's epithet, excluding Caduceus's. [The Shepherd's Crook] - This song is based on the moment when Yasha discover's Molly's grave and how, in her eyes, anybody she loves ends up six feet under. [Interlude: Adrift] - The interlude is an instrumental that covers the time period where Yasha spent time away from the party, before meeting up with them again at Nicodranas. [Storm Dreams] - This song is based off of Yasha's dream in Xhorhas, where the Stormlord tells her to break her chains. [The Scarlet Spectre] - This song covers the events in episode 69, "The King's Cage", where Yasha is taken over by Obann and betrays the party. The intro is the melody Matt described the angels as singing in a previous chamber. [Not My Own (feat. Megami)] - This song, sung by the incredible Megami, speaks to Yasha's mindframe while wandering with the cult under the control of Obann. [The Cathedral] - Eponymously named after the episode where Yasha is freed from Obann, this song describes her escape from his control and her worries about redemption. It also introduces Caduceus's epithet, "The Grave Keeper." [Feathers] - Based on Yasha's chasm dream in episode 98, this song is about the Stormlord comforting her after her traumatic experiences, Yasha's realization that her shackles are broken, and gaining her feathers. The piano part includes an homage to "Contemplations at Nicodranas". [Postlude: The Sailor] - The postlude is intended to tease the next album, summarizing a large portion of the character's story. In this case, the song centers around Fjord's story. The piano part at the end reveals his character motif, taken from "Regret of the Sailor."

Me: talks about how lament of the orphan maker would really fit a show Me later that day: “Well shit, he already did it.” I’m sorry Chase. I’ve got a lot of catching up to do.

Dude, this whole album is amazing and the motif is used brilliantly. If you don’t end up having a job in some kind of music creation, especially in movies/shows I will be shocked. Keep up the great work.

I put this on in the background while I was working and got chills and goosebumps the second the singing in Azula came on; after finishing the album, I can say those chills never really left. This is INSANELY good, and I'm now eagerly waiting for the Fjord and Molly ones teased here!

What can I say expect that it's beautifully done! The instrumental writing is very well done, and one of my favourite parts in the percussion was in Scarlet Spectre which gave me flashbacks to Halo's percussion parts, which isn't easy to do. Very impressive!

Okay, tell me I'm crazy, but are there little nods to "Crawling" from Linkin Park? Phenomenal work on this album. Nearly cried during some of it. The mixing and sounds along with your gorgeous voice quickly made this one of my favorites. The repeating motif of The Dirge of Mollymauk in Shepherd's Crook is really getting to me, gods.
