easy way electron sum Bond order 2. 1 4 0 6. 1 8 0 10. 1 12. 2 14 3 16. 2 18. 1 and, if the electron sum comes in between , like for example 15 is the electron sum then the bond order will be 3+2/2 = 2.5 ( I.e taking the mean of electron sum of 14 and 16 ) .

Sagnik Das there is a different short trick for that,,,I am unable to recall it where I learnt it from but there is a very easy way to write the configuration of the element and then we merely have to count the number of electrons.However,that trick is valid only for element with equal to or lesser than 20 e-.
