Asaka is such an emotive singer. She is humble with her guitar playing. It is clear though she can shred. Serina is quite skilled on the bass, both sturdy and imaginative. Nagisa is a top-flight drummer, one of the best of Japanese girls rock, right up there with Akane Hirose, Natsui, Yamashita, Marina and of course Junna.
Imagine being lucky enough to find a couple of people as talented as this in your city, let alone having them be attractive Japanese ladies. I'm loving this rock revolution over there, it's not even funny. Since I was a kid 30 years ago, I've wanted to see women be more involved with heavier music and rock, and here it is. There's never been a reason they couldn't be shredders, but for some reason, and mostly in the West - they just aren't. That's changing, and I'm loving their contributions as much as anything I can remember. Band-Maid, TriDent, Hanabie, they're absolutely killing it and I wish I could make more people care. Babymetal quite possibly made them find each other, and for that, I thank the Fox Gods every night.
personally my favorite song by them atm. the fact this hasn't really blown up yet should be illegal

This band has a really underrated knack of tailoring their songs to suit the singer's voice. A song like this also demonstrates that Nagisa is definitely better suited for this band because Junna (bless her heart) would've overdone it with the drumming while Nagisa nears the line of it.

@Gloomy Exactly my thoughts. The New drummer is ABSOLUTELY perfect for Trident they should keep her.

They all play with such power, They are rapidly becoming my favourite Hard Rock Band. Clearly I have to pay more attention to the music coming out of Japan. These Girls have been around for over a Year, and I missed them.
@Parker--2 жыл бұрын
Genuine question: Have you heard of Band-Maid? Trident's the second best band out of Japan IMHO, behind only Band-Maid who also do hard rock and dabble in other genres as well. If you haven't listened to them, I highly suggest Puzzle, Moratorium, Blooming, YOLO, Warning and DICE. I wish there were more hard rock bands like this.
@davidhouston48102 жыл бұрын
@@Parker-- Yes. I am familiar with Band-Maid, I own three of their albums, I like their songs, But one of my favourites is "Don't let me Down". I also have every SCANDAL album except the latest "Mirror" which has not arrived yet. I am a Long time fan of Japanese Music, I was quite surprised that I had missed TRiDENT, I usually keep a pretty close eye on new bands coming up, They slipped by unnoticed, until I discovered this song. Thank you for your comment, it is always a pleasure to hear from other fans of Nihon Music.

@@johnp.johnson1541 fell down the foxhole in late 2017... now I'm delving into K-Rock and Alt-idols besides just metal from asia but yeah, lotsa great stuff from there, which makes sense considering how populous the region is, and Japan does have a particularly strong market for rock compared to nations like South Korea, where it is far less mainstream.
@johnp.johnson15413 жыл бұрын
@@rosefaye5850 Right on. Way back when, because of an ex-gf liking Psy's Gangham Style, I found a KPop band 4Minute. I liked their performance. They were cute, which is what that is all about. Truth though, I am no fan of lip syncing pop acts. Something made me revisit Korea. I thought something like "Well, if they have KPop, they must have KRock." Sure enough, I found a few rock bands sort of California emo / pop rock. They one day, I came across Aldious. That led me into Japan and the All Girls Band scene. Aldious made me curious. From them it was Band-Maid, then Lovebites, then Brats, and then Anarchy Stone. I truly love Maki and Yamashita from Anarchy Stone. Maki has that extra thing, which can't be taught, that personality, that stage presence. Yamashita is so steady in her deceptive, no-frills playing. I guess because they are a bit older, few know about them. Yumi from Brats has played with them as support guitarist. I truly like Yumi. She seems humble and skilled. Brats are cool but I am not sure the formula of an act being about the Kuromiya sisters is sustainable. TRiDENT something. They are young and will find their true musical voices soon enough in another recording or two. All of the band members have input. That is what makes Band-Maid go, the talents of Tōno, Hirose and Misa. Asterism is stellar, both the female guitarist and the bassist. Even the drummer brings it. Oh and I've sampled defunct bands like Cyntia, some pop rock bands like Scandal, Shishamo. Mary's Blood seemed to hold promise. I knew about People in the Box long ago and I liked their song The Saints. I don't know why I didn't pursue more JRock then. Miyako from Lovebites is a huge talent. I love her playing on Sonic Reckless Lover's Phoenix. The vocalist of that band has the best voice in rock. Aya Kamiki is her name I believe. She fronts another band too. This band out of Taiwan is special. I love the bassist, how she feels the music. She is skilled. It's heady fusion style music though. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZLGlKtrmbmggbc Music is happening in East Asia for sure. There are some acts in Southeast Asia too. The musicianship of everyone I've heard blows me away and I am personal friends with guys like JR Robinson and Gil Parris, two big-time talents. I am guessing there are some bands in Russia I should discover. If ever you find something cool, @me (I am not sure if KZbin supports it). I would much like to lsiten to what you find.
