To me this was the song that cemented Nagisa as JUNNAs replacement. Both JUNNA (now with HAGANE) and TRiDENT are in a better place as a result.

Entertaining indeed. I thought it was a good fun song. Not the first time I have a track from Trident but the first one where I thought I would like to listen to further tracks. Maybe the chaos lurking in the back ground, hooked me in. 🤣

Sorry to be that guy, but the drummer for Trident is Nagisa. Junna is now with Hagane and hopefully it works for her there.

When I first heard this song I wasn't the biggest fan of it, partly due to the borderline chaotic feel. However, after listening a few more times it eventually clicked with me and now it's one of my favorite Trident songs.

Love this song and band. I am glad they did not go over the line into chaos but rode it perfectly.

Not Junna!… Thanks SMB for this request. I like a lot of Tridents songs but I think this still remains my favourite - I guess I just like the chaotic feel in general more than DH 😆 or it doesn’t really feel chaotic after a couple of listens.

As someone who is not a huge fan of a lot of their more electronic style the last couple of years, I do absolutely love this track and I did from the first time I heard it. I am also not bothered by the vocal production on this one for some reason, which is by far my least favourite thing about Trident (not a huge Asaka fan to be honest as far as vocals go). This track is S-tier as far as I am concerned and every time they release a track I hope it can get somewhat close to this one for me because they have plenty of tracks that I am a bit meh on (they are talented musicians though, no question). Edit: and like HomeGnome said, this is not Junna but their new drummer Nagisa (they changed their name to Trident when Nagisa joined), she is also a really good drummer as you heard.

This was arranged by Daidai of Paledusk and if you are a fan of Paledusk or know of them it's pretty apparent. Believe it or not Spoopy is Daidai at some of his most restrained since even TRiDENT's other Daidai arranged song, Twinkle, is even more off the rails. It will be interesting how they handle their upcoming album since the last three releases have almost all been written by TRiDENT but then arranged by pretty famous song writers/arrangers/musicians in the Japanese metal/rock scene. I wouldn't mind them either taking what they learned and applying it themselves or continuing to work with those outside resources if that's what they think they need to do to make the best album they can.

Oh that’s interesting cause Twinkle is probably my 2nd favourite by them!…

@@homegnome2429 Funnily enough I don't like that track whatsoever, but I absolutely hate the Christmassy twinkle twinkle little star stuff so that doesn't help. I am not a huge fan of their more electronic sound they are using the last couple of years actually, but I do love Spoopy. it is without question my favourite Trident track and that includes from their time as Girls Rock Band Kakumei. It was one of my favourite tracks that released that year.

@@homegnome2429 Lots of people like Daidai at his more extreme so me saying Twinkle is more off the rails than this song isn't a knock on its quality. Just that it's a bit more chaotic than Spoopy.

This song is a little chaotic but I enjoyed this

Just to rub in that this is Nagisa and not Junna. 😉I really think TRiDENT became better AFTER Junna, I think Nagisa is better for them. I love this track too, being on the edge of chaos, but commanding it so well, is an art in itself. If you listen to Asaka at the beginning of this track, you should also understand why I think she's a Saiki and Miku all in one - she has the low register purrs and control as well as huge range and "belt" power. I think if she was concentrating solely on vocals she would be one of, if not THE best in the genre, with the guitar we only see glimpses of her true potential.

Your score is too low. It sounds like the song not only took you outside your comfort zone, but exposed a particular mindset from the west. Your saying for you, the balance between tension and release was not satisfying.
