Japanese girls have been crushing it in rock music this decade. All the stuff that's really caught my attention the last 5 years or so has been from Japan.

@Arkerion scandal didnt make global as much as baby metal did. Only through the gold rush for the global market did the wave of female jrock come. Scandal is more localised though i think it brought in some new female rock but not as much as what baby metal had done.
@jie28084 жыл бұрын
@Arkerion Baby metal did start the jrock revolution globally, especially the western metal scene. and during the process manage to influence many westerners to jrock. Oneokrock was another strong example influencing the international stage. Bandmaid also started not too long ago and now they are touring united states. That is the goldrush for most of these japanese bands to work towards.

The girl she replaced is also an amazing drummer (Junna). She has a bunch of videos of her playing cover songs on youtube. I do not play the drums so I will not say one is any better than the other. I think they are both amazingly fast, gifted drummers and very entertaining to watch!

@@BobO-wq6md I thought this was Junna .so it's Nagisa. She plays like Junna even has the same energy too. In the video for 'Cry Out' she looks very different. This looks like Junna. Amazing there's so many highly accomplished musician's in Japan. And so many Female metal/rock band's too. And they're all good.

Her guitar solos are so tasteful, so well thought out. Every note makes sense to the melody. This is why she is great. She doesn’t have to shred, play scales and triads just to show off. The bass player is fantastic. She grounds everything both rhythmically and harmonically. Her bass solo on Alive. True musicianship. The drummer, no more 2 and 4 to define tempo and time. She reminds me a bit of Keith Moon, how free and steady she keeps time by refusing to play a 2-4 beat. No linear playing here. This band plays as a group so tightly it just simply blows my mind and ears. Every song is masterpiece of the music they play so well.
@dscarmo3 жыл бұрын
What do you mean with this is not 2 and 4, its normal tasteful metal drumming accentuating 2 and 4 always (not saying she is bad). Bass drums also seen to be triggered

Yeah, her wild playing and big personality can be difficult in a band setting, but if that's what's wanted, like in lots of hard rock bands, she can really shine. She has been in some body's vids lately, lacking translations I can't say who, but it's good. Her solo 'cover' stuff is nice, but I think musicians belong together.

If you don’t mind me asking how much dose it cost for a trip cause iam trying to save for a trip there?
@saldiven20094 жыл бұрын
@@dakotahsmith8320 I live on the East Coast of the USA, but if I start looking 6 months ahead of the trip, I can usually find a round trip flight for around $1000. I have found it as low as $720 on a major airline before. I usually rent an apartment instead of a hotel, and travel with a friend. The last time I went, we were there for 13 nights, and the apartment was $405 each. For food, you can almost always get by on $10 or less per meal unless you want to splurge. I like to travel around, so I usually get the JR Pass; the 2-week JR pass is like $550 or so. On my last trip, for two weeks, the entire cost (including all daily spending) was a little more than $2500. If I had decided to just spend the entire time in Tokyo, I could have saved on the JR pass, and it would have been around $2100 (without the JR pass, I would have to pay every time I used the commuter trains in Tokyo).
