Hi Upasana, this remedy actually worked for me. I appreciate you researching so deeply about the reaction these ingredients have in the iron bowl. I used to end up with orangish shade almost all the time even with indigo. But don't expect results in 4-5 applications as it completely depends on the texture of ur hair.I stopped using hairdyes since lockdown.Kept on applying various home remedies.My hair was frizzy,dull just like the jute of a coconut.Nd ya nothing gave me instant results.But i had decided to leave hairdye at any cost.I was very patient.All the remedies made my hair shiny nd thin(a strand if hair)in texture and i tried 2 step heena and indigo for a month finally i got results.Black to dark brown colour on my hair.i m using homemade herbal shampoo twice a week nd if my hair is still oily i use clinic plus ayurvedic shampoo to get rid of the oil.Like hairdyes,sulphate is also an enemy of hair.Try it but u need to have patience to see d Miracle.Gud luck.

Hi everyone. I have been using indigo & henna since 2010. Back then no one knew any such thing existed. I was sourcing both products from exporters. Yes! Indigo n henna world took up much before Indians. Indigo is grown in south India. After a few years to avoid the two step process I started using Vegetal hair colour which is a one step process based colour sold commercially now. With time I am back to using two step process as the colour comes out better. And vegetal runs out faster now. But yes, even with two step process, indigo mostly runs out with second hair wash. I have moved to no paraben, sillicon etc shampoos too. Still. Let me try 1:2 ratio mix of henna & indigo next as suggested by this channel sweet lady. I feel very good that I discovered indigo n henna process when mostly everyone used hair dyes! I propagated it among my circle (there was not much of a social media back then), but mostly people avoided it due to two step difficult process. Am happy people are back to naturals. By the way it hasn’t stopped my grey hair growth but i have been managing it somehow both the quality of hair as well as coverage of greys courtesy Indigo discovery 😁

I tried the premixed Herbal me Dark Brown Colour (Ecocert certified) having Henna, Indigo and Amla powder and gave me nice dark brown shade on my greys. Best part it didn't give me headache due to indigo like previous brand I tried (Kama). Hopefully found my product. Price is also reasonable (around 300 during sale for 200gm). They also have Soft Black which has more indigo and many other shades. Just mix with hot water and apply after lukewarm.

Hi! I tried the one-step henna indigo process today. I got brown color, woul love my hair to turn black. Can I repeat the process on the length of my hair which is still orange (due to last application of henna) in another 2- 3 days since I applied only on the grey roots today or should I wait for another week? Indigo oxidises quickly do can use the same paste. It will not give you the colour. You can repeat the process whenever to get the black or darker colour but make the henna indigo paste again. Leftover must be spoiled by now.

Hi madam this process is really amazing! I followed your two in one step and the result is also amazing but my problem as I applied and washed my hair with plain water and the color was beautiful black and after 48hre I applied oil and washed my hair with mild shampoo and the entire indigo color washed off and only orange color was left out. I repeated this again after one week and again the same thing happened. Pls suggest me some tips to retain black hair pls reply thank you so much

I too use to get tired with 2step process last 2yrs. Sometimes Evn Though I tried 2 in1/ 1 step in different ways with some small mistakes, got upset to see no result. Then tried tested many ways.

I see that you don't mix indigo in its own bowl and then let it dye release for 10-15 min. and then mix it in henna. Does your way of mixing the indigo directly in the henna bowl and then applying immediately work better?

Mixing the indigo and letting it release the color may make a difference for how long it last until the next touch-up is needed. Just as the henna sat and released the dye, let the indigo do the same then mix and apply to hair.

Depends on hair water Shampoo type... It lasted for 7-8 head washes & 2 times face washes daily for several days. I wash my hair 2-3 times a week
