Guzarish was visually stunning and had great performances by the actors. I truly enjoyed watching it. 1947 Earth is one of my favorite of Amir Khan’s movies. I remember going to watch it in theatre and my friends are were the only women in the audience 🙄I can understand that not everyone wants to watch a deeply moving and thought provoking story every time they go to the theater. But I wish everyone would give these movies a chance. Thank you Jammie pants for highlighting these movies. I would like to watch the ones I never got a chance to see when it was released.

Let's be honest, there are no such things as Hit films and Flop films anymore. Or, to put it more accurately, the Hit or Flop status of movies no longer deserves any kind of respect. There are only Good films and Bad films. Watch them and make up your own mind. Forget general consensus or Box Office numbers. I have adopted this way of thinking over the last 6 or 7 years and have been rewarded by watching so many unappreciated gems. This video only talks about 10, but honestly there are SO many films that deserve much more attention than they got upon initial release. Just to list a few more, I can highly recommend checking out Qissa, Margarita with a Straw, Masaan, Titli, Traffic, Waiting, A Death in the Gunj, G Kutta Se, Lipstick Under My Burkha, Newton, Ajji and Monsoon Shootout.

For me, Luck By Chance will always be that movie. Such an unfiltered look at nepotism and how competitive any film industry is. The Vikrams (Faran Akhtar) we see can be found in Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana, Vikrant Massey, Ali Fazzal, Divyendu Sharma, etc. But what we get instead are outsiders with strong connections like Ranveer singh moaning about his struggles and a star kid monopoly in entertainment

In my opinion, Movies that are too close to reality are not so popular because many people live that way, and when they want to go to the cinema, they escape reality and leave problems behind for a short time. Music, dance, laughing, crying and a beautiful ending give people hope and strength. You can't change old movies, because somewhere they reflected the earlier times. But even nowadays society is not quite on the right track yet. The world used to be like a village, and often no one had known otherwise. But the fact that in times of social media the films have not perished in important things, I find it worse than the old films

Khosla Ka Ghosla and LSD were not failures. In fact, LSD was one of the most profitable venture of 2010, if you compare its budget with its revenue.

You didn't count detective Byomkesh Bakshi . Man what a movie and the way Sushant potrayed that character was next level .When I saw the movie at first glance I thought it was someone else and it took me few seconds to find the Sushant in him

I think even Imtiaz Ali's Highway deserves to be in this list(it was not a commercial failure...but definitely did not get the due credit which it actually deserved)...Kindly make a seperate video on that if possible.

I was in my early teens when I watched 1947 Earth. The scene where a man's legs are tied to two jeeps..... gave me nightmares. I was badly shaken by this movie. Though it's one of my favourite movies , I'll not recommend it to people who are not into violent movies.
