Just got this bot, it's good, I have all hard floors, it cleans very well and the navigation seems good for a camera based bot. It cleaned my entire two bedroom apartment on the highest power level and still had 51 percent of the battery left.

Just purchased one of these for the wife. It's our first robot vacuum. Played a little with it yesterday, seemed to avoid obstacles very well as it navigated around the house learning the floor layout. Did a lot of research before purchasing this one including watching all of your videos, lol. Hope we made a wise decision. Look forward to your next videos on this machine. Thanks!

Owned one when it first came out, the original unit got replaced as it never found it’s dock. 2nd unit worked fine although it doesn’t go under chairs or anywhere near tight spaces. It often started cleaning for a few minutes and would say it was done and head back to the dock. It also only saves one map so you can’t really transfer it to new places you have to delete the map each time. It does get smarter with the cleaning over time and the cleaning patterns end up making more sense. Never had an issue with it picking up debris. Ive recently swapped it for a J7 which I have yet to try. (One other point is it would only go over a 1inch door threshold in remote control mode, it rarely would go over it otherwise.)

I think you'll be much happier with the J7. Mine has never had an issue finding the dock & does a surprisingly good job getting into tight spaces. Still some room for improvements but I've been very impressed with my J7.

You should do an object avoidance shootout using different objects with this bot, the J7+, & a lidar bot.

I gave this robot a try and it seemed very promising up until the map was completed and I found out how poor the navigation was. The app doesn't have "room select" but rather "area clean" which are basically "clean zones" that you draw on the map like how you would on the roborock app. I didn't think that was a big deal as if I wanted to clean a certain room I would just put a clean zone over the room I wanted it to clean. That's when the deal broke for me. I tried it 4-5 times, even with the complete map, it would only clean about 1/4 of the area that I had selected in the app and it would drive around all crazy and inefficiently. It would also go completely out of the "clean zone" and start driving around randomly at a completely different part of the floor plan. I was very disappointed because I loved all the features and seemed to clean great. Ended up returning it in the end. It has a lot of potential but the navigation needs to be refined and it needs to clean the entire area that it is told to clean. As far as the AI, I found that it worked quite well. If they can fix the navigation and refine it a bit, this can be a very good robot.

While looking into this one. I like the whole dual camera system like it is pretty good for the price range. The only issue I have is the fact that They choose to use a Z cleaning patterns as mention in the link you gave. Mopping is pretty basic but It is something at least. Vacuuming at a 4000 Pa is a very good deal at this price range and ai object avoidances shows how many other vacuums can be cheaper with good features. I do think they should add a lidar if they ever make a pro model.

I don’t think it has anything to do with your carpet. I owned one of these for 3 days and navigation was awful. It didn’t even go everywhere it scanned even on subsequent runs. Bumped right into my dogs head while he was asleep which even my prior gyro and IR based one didn’t do. I moved it to a different room thinking the starting point was the problem and that was even worse. Ran for 3 minutes and then declared it had finished cleaning and went back

That mop looks pathetic. The mopping pads are disposable only, the tank can only hold 100 mL, it’s gravity fed, and is held on by VELCRO. The navigation looks jerky.

Having owned multiple dogs fot over 20 years, if a dog goes in the house it will be diarrhea. These poop avoidance robots are useless. Even Irobot only guarentees dry poop.
