I’ve suffered with Trigeminal Neuralgia for 12 years. I’ve had times of remittance but this year it has been relentless. I’m sure I’m like other sufferers will try anything. Two weeks ago I had Cosmetic Botox to cheeks and temples, the release has been absolutely amazing. I know it’s not permanent but the feeling of relief is tangible.

Thought I would share my technique w others. Trigem start 4 years ago. Relentless for 12-18 months. Triggered most of the time from lip and gums above canine teeth. Tried capsaicin on gauze for 3-4 weeks. Worked = Remission for 6 months but came back w a vengeance and capsaicin seemed to no longer work. One day used tube of oragel to numb lip and gums to get through conference call and it worked. Used it all week. On Saturday didn't apply and noticed it did not fire/trigger hardly at all. Used for a few more weeks and into remission it went. Once a year I get a flare up and I start numbing it at first opportunity and it generally goes away before the pain gets too bad. I use CVS brand oral relief PASTE version now. Shoot a glob between lip and gum and leave it (even sleep with some in). It is a God Send! Trigem is like a feed back loop. The more it triggers, the easier it triggers, the less it triggers the less it tries. Good luck to all of you suffering, you can beat it!

Hello from Hamilton, Canada. Thank you very much for a detailed video. Yes the exercises shown by you are all very good and I have been doing this ever since i had multiple strokes in 2016. Soon after I atarted having TN and had no clue how to handle it as it was very painful. Wish I had come across this video earlier. The most painful part is when the pain travels to the gum line and near the ear. I leraned to press on the nerve gently and do my breathing and gentle release exercises. I havent had it now for a few yrs now.. Fot those of you who have it my sympathies go out to you. Believeme if u figure out what works for you it will be the best as each of us are different.

My pain is specifically in my teeth. I've thought it might be from my neck being out of place. These exercises just might help. I know the Deep Breathing Meditation does!

My husband suffers from this condition. Are these exercises to be done during the flare up or during calm times? Having seen him in the unrelenting insane pain, I don't know if he could do these exercises. I hope they will provide some relief.

Having TN myself, the only way I could do these exercises is if I was not in pain.

I am 66yrs young and had this Trigeminal Neuralgia for over 2yrs , waiting to meet someone interested in repairing me. I'm afraid those exercises did nothing for me and really want botox or decompression surgery and possibly gamma knife.

Do you have Trigeminal Neuralgia?

A-typical😥
@booknerdmomma09502 ай бұрын
I have Atypical TN. Constant pain, numbness, eye pain, burning sensation. I also have "typical TN breakthrough electric zap pain". No clear compression. Neuro thinks mine stems from having Bells Palsy years ago where the nerves didn't heal properly. Also have some facial twitching/spasms at times
