Wow. So I received a trigger point session that one time and did not know what it was. I just know She was pinching spots that felt like sharp pain until they released. It was cool. Im going to look for one near me as I was out of town at that time.

I would like Miss Dubis to play this back and listen to her voice: specifically the glottal fry. She is not taking in enough air to produce a pleasant speaking voice.

I like the effleurage as it is a great way of getting time=money... otherwise its really useless and completely unnecessary in triggerpoint treatment. Also, you CANNOT palpate the trigger points, that is not how it works. What you do palpate are myogelosis points, which is something completely different. :D
@amandawhitehead5060

Not sure why you believe effleurage is unnecessary, but applying pressure to trigger points before warming up the tissues first can cause extra, unnecessary pain for the client. Also, trigger points are palpable. If you believe that they are not, you have never felt a trigger point.
@han4574
@han4574 5 ай бұрын
Effleurage is necessary because it warms and softens the overlying tissue. It also activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which makes accessing trigger points easier for the therapist because the client is relaxed.

I disagree with you saying “you cannot palpate trigger points “. I have been getting trigger point injections for over 20 years. All of mine can be felt by touching me. Sometimes the deeper TP are harder to find, but I assure you , it can be felt.
