Joel, Abby and Ellie all are similar in the way that they were bloody and don't trust people but then change to be more peaceful. Joel grew older and by that experience he have changed (that's why he helped abby). Abby was bloody and merciless, but what changed her is the journey with the kid (lev) that story changed her and made her merciful. Ellie also started to be bloody when Joel died and started killing blindly but after she lost Jessie, dina, and almost Tommy she knew that she is on the wrong path. Ellie didn't kill abby at the end because she saw lev which symbolizes (victims of their problems, the loss that that path causes, humanity). Pls inform if you knew that cuz many people don't.
@adamscott19803 жыл бұрын
They did see each other off camera, because they would have had to have the conversation of movie night - we know this because of Dina and Ellies conversation about it on the start of their journey! Edit: I was inorrect! Wishful thinking steered me wrong. I realize Ellie was going to ask Joel in the morning; but like I say in my following comments - it's amazing that we even get to have these open conversations.🙂

There was an interview with Ashley, Troy, and Neil after the game came out and they went over the behind the scenes process of Joel's death scene. Troy's recount of the process was incredibly profound to me: he said that by the end of it a lot of the crew were gathered around him making sure he was okay, but if there was anyone he was the most concerned about, it was Ashely. He knew what happened to her with her father. Those reactions she had in that scene were basically her tapping into that memory of losing her father.

Love Berlin but I disagree. Ellie never shies away from danger to save anyone. She sees her having a link/key to make an advancement for humanity in this never ending battle with 20+ years of deadly infections as an opportunity. A freakin good arse chance for humanity and willing to sacrifice herself for it. That maybe her being born without her parents, that people came and go from her life or when her first love died is the reason for her to have such life is because she holds the cure within her. This is why her life needs to matter to her. Joel lied that there were others with the same "gift" and it meant NOTHING. Joel has his reasons but that does not take away that what he did was selfish. Hope was there. A cure and a top brain surgeon but Joel took that away. So what kind of heart should Ellie hold? Joel didn't hold her heart or any other's into consideration but his own.

@william32734 жыл бұрын
I understand if people think this game is good, however i simply can't see the masterpiece that a lot of people make it out to be. I think tlou2 has a lot of narrative issues that hold the game back drastically. Like why kill off Joel purely because of shock factor and "subverting expectations" and not in a more meaningful way? They try to make us sympathise with Abby but imo they failed, and i couldn't care less about her. I understand her more, but i still hate her. Why is the pacing so off? Why are the characters all over the damn place? Why did they try to force a "revenge is bad" message in the end with no build up or little to no reason. Ellie abandons everything, only to realize that "revenge bad", and she decides to spare Abby. Fckn what? Ellie gets no justice in this game, and there dosen't seem to be a good reason as to why. While i can understand people liking this game, i just can't see this game as a masterpiece. Imo it just dosen't compare to the first, and it failed to follow up what that game laid out.

Is something we can all relate to maybe not as bad as they have it, but we all suffer in someway. both games were great it was like watching your life come up and watching it crash in ways you could never understand. The fact that you dont feel right in your gut and heart with the ending prove how deep you were in and tragedy hit you and now you have to learn to live with that pain how elie did/does.this game teaches you so much that your lost in emotion.

People need to realize that Joel's decision of saving Ellie was not for Ellie, it was for himself. Not only did he murder an entire building of medical professionals to take away the only cure, he did it so he would have the will to keep fighting. It wasn't for humanity or even ellie, it was an entirely selfish decision so that he could have closure for not being able to save Sarah.

That's not his character, though. Joel never "wanted" anything for Ellie other than happiness and a life in peace, but unfortunately, the reason for that was because HE wanted that for himself, and he needed Ellie there with him for it. Ellie wanted to die there. Joel didn't want her to die there. Not because he wanted a meaningful life for her. Because he couldn't lose another daughter. That's the entire point of this scene is that Ellie will try to forgive and understand that part of him, the part that refused to let her have any choice in the matter.

I think it would be harder for her, but there would nothing that she could do then. Joel is already dying when Ellie comes in. Also it was very hard for Ellie to let Abby live in the end, imagine how deep into this wish for revenge Abby is after training for it, searching for him and having mental issues for four years. What she sid to Joel isn't something she would usually do and during the story it becomes clear, that she is not as tough as she seems and even capable of forgiving someone, even if this person killed all her friends and the love of her life.
