This video shows a trim on a gaited horse, a Tennessee Walker Broodmare. She has lovely hooves and was left bit long after she foaled to give her time to bond with her foal. Some mares can be very protective for a few weeks after they deliver. So this is the general protocol we take at this breeding facility when it comes to trimming. So this is her first post foaling trim. There was not much distortion present. Mostly just a lot of hoof wall that needed to be removed and rebalanced.
