A raised foot is my absolute favorite. Do you have a style you like that I didn’t mention?

Brother you make that look so easy, love the different techniques. will you be doing more with these for handles and/ or glazing?

Thanks! People named Jim tend to have DIY predisposition ;) Yes. I’m adding handles today and I’ll post tomorrow.

The raised one with a bowl shape is nu favorite as well. I don't know a different foodring, because I'm a handboulder... Love your work, lots of blessings from the Netherlands

I think it’s so cool that we connect when we live so far apart from each other. So we agree. Like I said, it’s my favorite kind of foot to make. What kind of hand building do you do?

@@CeramicJim I like to do detail work: dotting with slib, pattern drawing in wax ore color, 'they' say that my work looks tight... So you see, I don't have one particular way of working. Thanks for asking.

Really great work, I like the feet on tea bowls the ones that look like flowers or shapes. Have you ever had to add a foot because the bottom was to thin or do you just toss and make another?

Hmmm. Yes, I’m fond of those kinds of feet too. I’ve added a foot on a few occasions. Definitely earlier in my throwing when I was more attached to my work and it was harder to make good pieces. Now I always think, “I wouldn’t want to buy a piece that was fixed that way.” So I don’t do it. If it’s intentional then I’m okay with it. That’s a great question. I don’t think there is anything wrong with it unless your selling work professionally.
