I just got this deck yesterday, had trouble shuffling it because it's just too big for my hands so I came to youtube to rewatch your videos of how to cut it down a bit, I was very happy to see you had a video doing that with the same deck. I just really like how you modified it.

I’m so glad you enjoyed it. It works so much better for me trimmed down too. 🥰

Love the red gilding! I’m a sucker for gilding, but if it’s hurting you that’s not good. I do also love the green edging too! So pretty.

I never thought of using the leftover drawer liner material so the cutting board doesn't slip- so smart! 🙌 Thank you!

I have those under all kinds of things! It works great for the slipping but also to protection surfaces because you can cut it to size. Just a little handy trick I’ve found. 😀

Dawn, another great mod. I like the green and I think the green also matches the green behind the card titles pulling it all together. 💜

Thank you, I’m pretty happy with how it came out. And it doesn’t hurt my hands anymore, so bonus. 😀

Oh I've been umm-ing and ah-ing (read dithering) over whether or not to get this deck since it came out and I think seeing it slightly smaller has tipped the balance. I don't have anything else like it so having just un-hauled a few decks I'm ready to give this one a go!

Wow, the green looks so much better, I also like the cards being a little smaller. The green just makes everything pop. I don't have this deck, wasn't sure about it because of my other rose oracles. I am sure I will see you use it over the next few months and I can check it out. 💕🌹

I love using those accent colors for my edges. Someone mentioned there were a few repeat cards so now I gotta take a closer look and see how it’s going to work out. 😀

So pretty! ❤ still thinking about this deck but the archetypes haven’t worked for me before. We shall see. Also added a bunch of green tombow sets to my wishlist. ❤

Honestly they are hit or miss for me sometimes too, but if there was going to be an archetype deck that works for me, it would be a botanical one. 😀

I had a similarly "sharp" edge on the Shadowland Tarot, it looks so much nicer without it, edged in black. :D This turned out lovely!

The gilding isn’t always a good idea in practice in my opinion. Looks great if you want to sit it on the shelf, but to actually shuffle and use, give me plain edged any day. 😀

Makes sense to trim the gilding off! My copy of Oracle of the Roses only has a very slight lip so it doesn't hurt my hands, but it's definitely the same stiff, sharp gilding Rockpool used on the Shadowland Tarot (yuck!). The new green edging looks great with the deck! Have you renamed any of the cards? I was super disappointed to see repeated titles. Like there are two Pioneer cards and two Alchemist cards and I don't understand why. Definitely would've been a deal breaker for me if I wasn't so attached to the art style and rose theme. Instead, I've been covering the titles with washi tape and trying out a couple of new titles that seem to still fit the guidebook descriptions.

I haven’t had any repeats come up, I’ll have to look at it a bit closer. I didn’t even notice! 😀

I also found it disappointing to see repeated titles and wondered if the deck was just poorly proofread (as e.g. her Green Witch Oracle before with mismatched zodiac info in the book) or if it really was meant to have pairs... After working with it on a daily basis for a whole month, I'm not entirely sure if it's a deck I'll keep; it's pretty, but often enough the messages just wouldn't click. I'm curious about your alternative titles - feel like sharing?😊

I think it's ood that moldel don't have a pull out arm like the other paper trimmer they make (which is what I have) has.

Yay! Another Mod With Me! ♥️👏🏻 Also, you mentioned you wouldn’t use your good washi tape for the ruler. Would you mind sharing what is your good washi?
@DawnMichelleTarot
@DawnMichelleTarot Жыл бұрын
My “good” washi is the stuff I buy from like indie shops and creators. The cheaper stuff tends to be what I pick up at the craft store or on Amazon. The indie stuff just tends to be higher quality in my experience. 😀

The cards are so pretty! But the backs and the packaging are not for me :/ they remind me of drawer liners my older relatives would use in the 80’s and 90’s 😂

@@DawnMichelleTarot do you have thoughts on hidden blade cutters… vs the guillotine (which seems like over time the arm might give to a little sway or hinge out and my ocd would have a fit)…?
@DawnMichelleTarot
@DawnMichelleTarot Жыл бұрын
I haven’t tried one personally. The only other tools I’ve used are scissors and a cutting knife, both of which require a steadier hand than I have. 😀 Might be something to look into though! I suppose a more “professional” cutter might be helpful too. This one is kinda just for hobby crafts.
