Love love this song - this was a huge floor filler - especially in NYC. I remember that summer and Frankie Knuckles dropped this - and when the bass hit - the folks went crazy - and when the vocals started - all you saw was some happy faces and people singing YOU GIVE ME JOY JOY JOY. Trina Broussard, from Houston, Texas, born on October 5, is a rhythm and blues (R&B) singer best known for covering soul legend Minnie Riperton's hit Inside My Love for the Larenz Tate movie Love Jones. but her own project was stalled, and Trina then moved to Motown/Universal. Her second album, Same Girl (featuring contributions from Van Hunt and Rahsaan Patterson, among others), was released in 2004, but despite good reviews, it failed to find an audience
