It won't be too difficult for a Nigerian to understand.... We have a little bit of similarities in our slangs... We go say, make we go, where you dey, and so on. You say immediately as "one time" but we say it as "sharp sharp" or sharperly You say "yuh understand" and we say " you know" or "you get" Yuh have no behaviour or broughtupsy... We say "you no get manners" or "you get bad manners/bad character" or "you no get home training" Twas fun watching this... I really enjoyed it and learned too.

There are so many everyday expressions that people never explain. Most of the ones people explain are easy to figure out in context. to retire=to go home To be low= dying slowing, to be in bad health Those are the ones I can thing of right now. My mom speaks to my uncle in Trini often on the phone and there is always some expression I don’t understand about the conversation.

when I went to Trinidad everyone was always saying "dus"!! "he dus drink and lime all night." "she dus stay in the house". I found it confusing to know when to use it!

It's "does". We use that when describing an action Eg. He goes to the park - he does go to d park (pronounced 'paak')
