I have just started to learn macrame and this video is an excellent tutorial to learn many different knots. I am doing just a few each day over and over again, then I will move on to the next few and so on. I am using thick round laces as a practice material, if I can get the knots to look neat with those, it will be even better when I use the proper cord (well that's my theory anyway lol).

Im new to this but love it. Just made my first plant hanger. I found that if the cords are real long, once I get them started I start from bottom wrapping each cord around my fingers to shorten and tie a little string around it as I use it I pull out more cord and pull string tight again. Hope it helps you as much as it did me. Thanks for your tips.

I wrap and tie my cords for most projects, I find it easier to work with. I'd like to add a tip to yours also. Taping the end of the cords prevents fraying when they are worked with. 😉

Absolutely one of the best tutorials I've seen and that's including when I learned to crochet. (in their defense it was 12 years ago. KZbin and other technology wasn't quite what it is today) Music is relaxing. You're very clear on what your next move is that it doesn't even need words.
